Loni is a mother of two with a husband who likes to try to put her down with his words. The two also haven't been intimate since she was pregnant with their second son. When her oldest son, Jake, gets into a fight with the school's quarterback, she agrees to visit Principal Long if Jake does the chores for a month.

When she talks with Principal Long, he informs her of the repercussions of her son's actions and the fact that the quarterback was black. The quarterback's parents want to press charges, not just for their son being hit but also pressing that it was a racially motivated action. He lets Loni know that he's very close with the quarterback's parents and can easily convince them to stop... in exchange for something Loni can do for him.

Loni soons find that the Principal's last name is more than just a name but a perfect description for his manhood. Does she go through with the deal to help her son?

The annoying blaring sounds of my husband's alarm woke me up along with him.  I had told him on multiple occasions to change his alarm clock but he insisted on using the stupid clock straight from the eighties.  As I stared up at the ceiling, I heard the bed creak as he rolled out.

"Do you want me to get Tim's breakfast ready?"  He asked as he slowly stood up and stretched.

"Ugh... sure," I groaned.

I was surprised that he wanted to get our son's breakfast ready.  Tim was very peculiar with what he ate and I was certain that whatever my husband cooked was going to end up being part of my lunch.  I heard footsteps outside as our older son, Jake, stomped downstairs.

"John, can you also remind Jake not to stomp down the stairs in the morning?"  I requested.

"Yeah, I can do that," he replied as he finished his stretching and headed towards the bathroom.

"And close the door," I said as I closed my eyes.

John had a tendency of leaving the bathroom door open which was quite annoying.  Especially this early in the morning.

"All right, I got it," John said as he slowly closed the creaking bathroom door.

I heard stomping on the stairs again as Jake made his way back up.  A sigh escaped my lips as I tried to go back to sleep.  Unfortunately that was not an option as I heard a small knock on the doorframe.

"What?"  I asked without moving.

"Hey mom, are you sleeping?"  Jake asked.

"Seriously?"

"Oh, yeah, guess not.  Hey uh...  I got into a bit of a scuffle yesterday and uh..."

"A scuffle?  Really?  I like how your vocabulary expands when you're in trouble," I replied as I sat up.

"Yeah, sorry, it was that jackass I've been telling you about.  The quarterback that keeps..."

"Yeah, I get it.  What happened and what needs to happen?"  I asked, cutting him off sharply.

"He kept calling me names so I punched him in the face.  The principal wants to talk to either you or dad.  I swear, it's because he's the quarterback, otherwise they would've just waved it off," Jake explained.

"Jake, seriously?  You can't go punching people because they tease you.  Stick and stones?  You know that rhyme right?"  I said as put a hand on my forehead.

A rush of emotions overwhelmed me as I closed my eyes.  I was hoping for a nice, slow, quiet day and it was already starting off bad.  The other night, when John had come home, I had smelled a bit of perfume on his collar.

He had cheated on my once and I had forgiven him.  I tried to ignore the smell of perfume from the night before and hoped that after a nice, quiet day, I'd be able to forget about it.  Now, with my son coming in and adding to the stress, I knew it was going to be a long, horrible day.

"I'm sorry mom, I didn't mean to upset you.  I can ask dad," Jake said.

"No, you know what your father is going to do.  He's going to scream, shout, ground you and blame me before asking me to go and talk to the principal," I replied, frustration filling my voice.

While John was usually calm and collected, when he got into a bad mood, he made sure everyone went with him.  Whenever Jake caused trouble, he would blame me, saying that I had coddled him too much and how he was acting out because of it.

"Yeah...  I am really sorry."

"Oh, you're not g [...]
