About the author
If you’re like me, you have too many things competing for your time. Children, a spouse, and the responsibilities of a job are only a few of them. You’ve had to somehow fit your writing time in between all those things, waking up super early or working extra late to get the words down.
Now, after all that time and sacrifice, your manuscript is complete and ready for the world. You’re finally ready to be an Amazon author.
But now what? How do you take that great Word document on your hard drive to the Amazon bestseller lists? You have a vague idea of what’s required. You’ve seen guides about formatting your eBook, but they seem like they’re written in ancient Macedonian.
HTML? Styles? What the heck...
Besides, even if you knew how to go about formatting your eBook, who has the time? It was hard enough to find time to write the darn thing.
Face it. You have the will, but not the time or the skill. Not yet!
I know how you feel, I was right where you are only a few short years ago, that’s why I wrote this guide. Now you might say, I can get it done for $20 or $30 on Fiverr or a similar site, so why should I do it myself? I cringe when people say that, only because I’ve seen many authors go the route of paying someone to put their manuscript through software that mangles it, only to find that the book is an embarrassing, unreadable mess when they upload to Amazon. It’s not worth the wasted money or the stress of seeing the book you worked on so lovingly look so very terrible. You can avoid all that by doing it yourself.
Besides, NO ONE is going to give your manuscript the loving care it deserves and that only YOU will! That’s a fact!
I’ve taken the lessons I’ve learned and put them in an easy to follow method that will allow you to format your eBook in seven simple one-hour sessions. If you have the time to do it all in one session, awesome, you can do that too. But, if you’re like me, so swamped you need to schedule time just to breathe, then this guide will have your eBook ready to upload in only a few short hours.
There’s some preparation involved to make the whole process smoother so if you haven’t already, click HERE and download the worksheets.
Congratulations on finishing your book, and best of luck in your writing journey. See you on the bestseller lists!

Okay, we’re going to begin the process that ends with YOU having a published book on Amazon. I know you’re excited and ready to jump in but there are some things we need to have handy before we begin;
Your manuscript in a .doc or .docx file.
A text editor besides Word (notepad or word pad will do nicely).
The Kindle Previewer.
TheKindle Appfor your tablet or mobile device. KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) account. You may open an account at http://kdp.amazon.com (It was my intention to provide you with links for the Kindle Previewer the Kindle App and Kindle Direct Publishing but Amazon links in Kindle books very often won’t work.)
Cover art for your book.
Fonts for your cover art (if you have it/them).
A quote for your quote page (if you plan to include one).
A dedication for your dedication page (if you plan to include one).
Your About the Author text.
A good picture for the About the Author page and any other images you plan to include.
The URL’s for any links you plan on including. Please keep in mind that all URL’s must contain http://
