INTRODUCTION

Note for this book: Divine Self is related to a universal soul which is inside all living beings. Self is also Divine Self but it is the single entity inhabiting a particular individual.

DIVINE SELF AND SELF

Since I've started translating my first book in English, I have to admit that I had a difficult task in front of me.

Why so?

Looking for the correct translation of certain terms, I've come to the conclusion that many spiritual terms haven't been correctly interpreted in different languages. That’s because people lack spiritual realization, and they have to relate certain terms to their personal experience. The problem is that their experience is neither complete nor final. People are not acquainted with the difference between Divine Self and ego, thus many words are the outcome which is differently interpreted and understood by various people. That’s not necessarily bad as long as an individual thinks for himself. If a person should present the truth to the world, that could be very bad.

I have visited some web pages where some very educated people offer detailed answers related to meanings of some words. However, even those educated people what belongs to ego put together with God and Self. Thus I’ll have to introduce my own interpretation of certain words in Serbian as well as in English, in order to prevent misinterpretation.

The man who hasn’t perceived God as Self, can’t possibly know when to use that word, nor could have the inner image of what this word represents.

Let’s say, Lao Tze named manifested God Tao. In this way, he knew the true meaning of this word, and he could use it regardless of the fact that this name was not used in other religions or spiritual practices at all. Seeing God as Divine Self is the seeing God as Divine Self and nothing else.

When it rains, we simply say that it rains. However, some scientists could write a whole book on how it rains, without realizing that it’s just a bunch of gibberish.

Why?

Because even the rain is the result of God’s will, and not some laws and rules of physics (which are in reality also the results of God’s will ).

When I say Divine Self, I think about the universal soul that resides within all living beings. When I say Self it is the same as Divine Self, but the individual one finds in a certain individual. However, generally speaking, the Self is actually Divine Self. Because in the case of Divine Self, space and time, the size and distance itself, and even diversity doesn’t play any role.

Here is what’s the main problem here, even with those who define ego, Divine Self, and Self in tiniest details.

Firstly, we could characterize Self as a soul in the Christianity. Divine Self is the global soul that actually doesn’t differ from the individual, i.e. Self. People think that a man has a soul. They equal themselves with ego. Ego carries its self mainly in the mind. The mind is connected with thoughts and feelings, so it also feels energies and body. However, the main thing is that the man is not ego. The man is God - soul. The soul possesses the ego. For that reason, it can act according to its own will in the given moment, but it can’t determine the consequences of acting. The man often doesn’t want the consequences of action, but the soul wholeheartedly accepts them.

The message is following:

The man is a soul, but he’s not aware of that due to his restricted ego, and his consciousness. The soul is the one that owns ego. The reason that man has limited consciousness and identifies oneself with ego doesn’t mean that’s really so. It looks very funny, but in reality, it’s really tragic because people think that the man (ego) has a soul. Thus Divine Self can never be classified as the part of imaginary self, i.e. ego. And as I could see some most educated and prominent theorists are not only thinking, but also claiming that.

So, here we can see how many contemporary people are distant from God because the most prominent ones propagate in the world philosophy similar to this one: - I am a car, and the one who drives the car is the part of my car.

Divine Self and Self

ATMAN (a.k.a., Divine Self, universal soul)

I bow myself to the universal Atman that’s inside the all living beings.

There’s no greater manifested (revealed) God besides Atman.

Which lunatic talks against God?

A crazy lunatic.

Which lunatic acts against God?

An unreasonable lunatic.

Which lunatic acts against a man?

A cruel lunatic.

Which lunatic acts against oneself?

An ignorant lunatic.

Each of the above-mentioned lunatics makes its own misfortune.

The message is following:

Supreme resides in every man. Supreme is the man’s Divine Self. Whoever doesn’t know this truth, the darkest dark is the shiniest light for one.

SCREWDRIVER

Sometimes somebody says to you:

– Please, go and bring me the screwdriver from the drawer. I need it.

You go, open the drawer, you look and look, and you can’t find it. Then you go back and say that it's not there. The one who asked for the screwdriver goes to the drawer, opens the drawer and finds the screwdriver instantly. Then he says to you:

– What have you been looking at? Can’t you see that it is here?!

What does this mean?

There are many people that say that they need the proof of God. As if they had the proof, they would have believed in Him. Yet, if God has revealed to them in the world, they wouldn’t still believe. Because, how can you physically recognize someone you do not know what it is, where it is, or what it looks like?

In which form should God reveal to such man?

Maybe in a form of Jesus?

And how did Jesus look like?

How could Jesus look like if he had reappeared today?

How could he convince you that he is Jesus? With wonders? Words?

Hehehe, strange are the people that look for a material proof of God, and who even if they get the proof, still couldn’t be sure about it. Doubt is always doubt.

I wonder, do people that doubt God see the Sun that shines? Do they see themselves in the mirror? Do they see the one who looks through their eyes, hears through their ears, speaks through their mouth?

Who is the one who does all of this?

There’s a statement that says:

– I am thinking, therefore I exist.

The question raised here is, does Self really has to think? Because the statement itself proves that Self is separated from thoughts. Self consumes thoughts. However, could thoughts exist without Self?

Of course that not. The exclamation itself is defective, but it’s true.

Why?

Because the creation itself is a paradox. God can’t be explained.

On the other hand, You can find God and experience Him. Still, you won’t comprehend Him with your mind.

It’s said that being is emerging out of nonbeing. Still, the real truth is that God is both being and nonbeing.

The message is following:

God is always right in front of you, the same as the screwdriver in the drawer. If you don’t see Him, that just means that you’re not looking at it, or not looking for it properly.

In the end, I could just offer you a piece of advice:

– When God shows to you, you won’t need any piece of advice. You will instantly recognize Him.

That is another truth that’s impossible for the mind to understand.

POWER

The real and true power comes out of Divine Self. Divine Self is Self, manifested God, that lives in all living beings.

What does that mean?

Nowadays, the evil is widespread in the world. People think that manifestation of force is power. That’s not power, but the misery and weakness of man.

When Self begins to surface, you’ll experience the power of Self. You are intoxicated by that power. That’s why Self gradually emerges. If Self would suddenly shine, one would immediately die. Self hides many Universes within itself. All Universes are accessible to man. Such power is intoxicating. People who are burdened and delighted by such things wander the same as those who search for worldly riches and powers. Thus many don’t understand when I say that Self is talking to a man. The communication between the man and God really exists.
