We were three really close friends. Our friendship was as close and deep as you can imagine. We've known each other since kindergarten. They went to primary school together and had now completed their school-leaving exams together. For more than a year we had already agreed that we would be the first to make a long trip with our backpack after graduating from high school.
We wanted to hike a lot, see the world and live as cheaply as possible. It should be a long journey, also to other continents. We all had steady friends and were forgiven. But we wanted to carry out this desirable journey without any men. We had been warned that it was not easy and safe for young girls to travel everywhere. There is still trafficking in human beings, especially in oriental countries, but also in the Far East. Of course, he focuses mainly on young women, who are usually auctioned off and put into brothels.
But we didn't care about stories like that. We were young, carefree and proud. Despite these warnings, we were not deterred. We were of legal age and believed that nothing could happen to a trio like us. So we didn't let anything say to each other and never stopped for the journey.
It started in June, we had planned to be on the road for at least 3 or 4 months. We had saved money and also got money from our parents and friends. If we lived sparingly, it should be big enough.
At first we drove to Italy, Sardinia and Sicily, mostly we were hitchhiking and got through without any real difficulties. Of course, we young women were turned on, but since there were three of us, nothing happened to us.
