Well, what did that actually mean? 13 Baktun was actually a giant code in which the Mayans, who were also adept at mathematics, placed the true date of the Doomsday into the number Pi (π), and it indicated a date that was not 2012 but further. Did the Mayans come up with this information themselves, or did they get it from a lost civilization far more advanced than themselves, called Atlantis?

In 1500, on a dark night in a farmhouse near Granada in Southern Spain, a gray-colored 1-meter extraterrestrial creature who called himself 'Alien' in his notes; stood in front of the door with two letters containing a series of prophecies about the future of the world and a mysterious map with a place marked on it, and with a huge picture that consisted of 100 scrambled numbers of some cryptic complex numbers and writing of future dates; and he was staring at Bruno with his big black eyes.

As he began to run, the flying object began to quickly descend from the sky and disappeared into the darkness. Bruno first glanced toward the direction of the alien and went with fearful eyes.

The chain of events that began in medieval Spain with a dramatic and bitter life and death struggle in the Inquisition led Bruno and his sister Sofia on a dangerous and long journey from Andalusia to a Mayan temple in Mexico, the center of the Mayan civilization, and it would eventually end with their execution. But the Great Prophecy that was announced would bring an end not only for the church or for them, but also the whole world this time. Because The Last Prophecy was leading humanity to the end of its story, the Doomsday, which started with the expulsion from Heaven.

IMPORTANT CHARACTERS MENTIONED IN THE BOOK

ORACLEBRUNO: Spanish Oracle, Explorer, Doctor, Astrologer, Ancient History researcher, and the main character of the book that has many talents. Bruno lived in the same period as Columbus in the Middle Ages and at the age of 20, in 1500, Bruno reached some important information with the help of an extraterrestrial being to discover a new continent, America, and at the age of 30 he achieved this goal before Columbus. Not only that, Bruno manages to solve a 12-thousand-year-old Doomsday calendar that the Mayans hid in a temple with some secret documents that he received and he predicts in this calendar how the End of the World will come. He can quickly analyze what the real power is to rule and organize all the secret orders, organizations and evil in the world. However, after realizing that he had learned these secrets and thought that he had gone too far, the Church first excommunicated him from Christianity and then at the end, they decided to executed him terribly at the age of 42 in the Inquisition in 1522, by being tortured and his body is burned and put in a chest with other items and the Prophecy book he wrote. Later, this chest was smuggled out of Spain and buried in an unknown location in France.

SOFIA: Bruno's sister. She shares the same fate as Bruno. The dangerous secrets his brother knows would be the end of her too. But, before she dies, she tries to make all of Bruno's work into a book on his will and publish it and announce it to the world, replicating the book and making 3 copies. The original of the book is buried with Bruno, but only one copy reached the church in a small village on the mountain in France, but he was executed by torture at the age of 42 in the Inquisition in 1526 before he could reach the other two copies.

ESMERALDA: The native Mayan girl whom Bruno met and fell in love with and brought to Spain when he arrived Mexican territory. Esmeralda is a dark-skinned and very beautiful girl. Esmeralda, who is originally from Mayan, helps Bruno find Mayan temples deep inside the forests, and resolve the Great Prophecy. Meanwhile, a great love begins between the two and after meeting him, she couldn't break up with him and eventually she leaves her family, arriving all the way to Spain with Bruno. After Bruno is executed unfortunately, Esmeralda helps Sofia in publishing and distributing the Book of Prophecy that Bruno had written.

MARIA: Bruno's mother.

REYES: Bruno’s uncle. After his mother Maria and father Pedro died, Bruno moved with his sister Sofia to his uncle Reyes's farm in Granada and lived with him until he was 20.

CAPTAIN GARCIA: The sailor who captained the Santa Maria on Bruno's cruise to Mexico to explore the Americas. Captain Garcia was once Columbus' soldier, and before meeting Bruno, he made an expedition from Spain to the coast of the island of Hispaniola (present-day Haiti). But when his ship was stranded in shallow waters, he had to return. He had the same fate. Garcia was killed by natives on Mexican soil at the end of his cruise with Bruno.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS: (1450-1506) He is said to have been the first explorer to cross the Atlantic Ocean and set foot on the North American continent in 1492. He made this journey under the flag of Spanish. Before Columbus discovered the Americas, he sought help from all powerful states, including the Ottoman Empire, but no one wanted to support him. Eventually, Spain agreed to help Columbus. In fact, although Columbus was not the first explorer who reach Americas (during the 11th century, the Viking expedition led by Leif Ericson reached the Canadian Coast for the first time), his expeditions led to the beginning of the first permanent contacts, a period of conquest and colonization that would last several centuries in Americas. Therefore, he had a major impact on the historical development of the modern Western world. Columbus' primary goal had been to spread Christianity. Columbus never admitted that he had discovered a continent unknown to Europeans as he was on expedition to the East Indies on his way out, because he thought he had reached India, not a new continent, and named the natives Indios (Spanish: Indian). This is why Native Americans are called American Indians today. In 1500, Columbus’ relations with the King of Spain were strained and arrested by his colonial rulers in Hispaniola, and in the subsequent case, Columbus and his heirs claimed that the kingdom owed them. Christopher Columbus died on May 20, 1506.

ROGER BACON: (1214-1294) One of the most mysterious persons in history, the author of a very important book, which led Bruno to discover a very important secret about the Apocalypse and the Number of Pi. Roger Bacon was one of the most important scientists, researchers, mystics and intellectuals of the Middle Ages. This Celtic scientist, who lived in the British Empire, was also on trial at the Inquisition for criticizing the Franciscan doctrine for a while and who was imprisoned for 15 years, was accused of witchcraft, was the first Medieval intellectual who defended the experimental method against dogmatic thought in the church and provided the establishment of the experimental thought system and philosophy in the world. Bacon is, in fact, the first founder of modern science today.

HERNANDO CORTES: (1485-1547) was a sailor who invaded Mexico on behalf of Spain and initiated the colonization of Mexico. He is also known as Hernando or Fernando, but he signed all his letters under the name Hernán Cortés. He is a second degree cousin of Francisco Pizarro, who occupied the Inca Lands of present-day Peru. When he invaded Mexico, the natives welcomed him very well, because according to their legend; in ancient times, the white “gods” had come from the east on ships and had taught them civilization. Then they returned to their homes in the east, promising that they would return. Although the Indians were crooked, the ”Gods" were bearded, blond-haired, white-skinned, and blue-eyed, just like Pedro de Alvarado, captain of the Cortes. The Indians taught him their God "Quetzalcoatl" and prostrated before him. For the same reason in Pizarro, who had invaded Peru, he won an easy victory against the Incas, a population of 10 million with a handful of men, because the name of their greatest deity, “Viracocha”, meant “White Man”. Perhaps the ”Gods" were, in fact, Spacemen from an extraterrestrial race who had visited Earth long ago. Other evidence available in South and Central America supports this theory. Viracocha, the God of the Incas, has also left his people and disappeared into the sky, flying towards the east.

According to legends, The God of the Yucatanpeople “Ququlcan” came with 19 friends and lived in Yucatan for ten years, after leaving the laws that lead to civilization and good for his people, he flew towards the sun. As a general rule, all of the gods who founded the ancient civilizations of Central and South America came from the sky, and after a certain period of time they flew back to the places where they came from. One thing the gods had in common was that they were ”white“ and knew ”a lot"..!

SANTA MARIA: The ship on which Bruno journeyed. Santa Maria was previously a ship of the Columbus. With this ship and a large fleet, he set out to explore a new continent but returned without success. It was a specially built ship that was uncommon in the Middle Ages and could be called the Titanic of those times for Santa Maria.

THE GREAT WHITE BROTHERHOOD: It is a secret sect that Columbus, Bacon, and the most important people in the world are the members of the world, responsible for the death of Bruno, ruling the world throughout history and thought to be constantly changing names. The Great White Brotherhood, an extremely powerful and secretive entity, is often led by specially trained masters and acts with other clandestine organizations. Many people no longer see their names being mentioned in the media, news or books, they are only superficially aware of these secret organizations that run the world, whose history is still mysteriously hidden. The secret sects associated with the Great White Brotherhood were Freemasonry and the Illuminati, the Rosicruciansand Theosophy Society, the Knights Templar, and finally the sect of Sion, and the Jesuits above all. In the 1,000-year dark history of the past, these are the most secretive - unnamed - communities that have had the greatest impact in human history. It said that there was a school called “Scholomance” on a secret mountain in the Himalayas on the Indian-Nepalese border, where ten students were taken every year and one person was chosen to serve Satan at the end of the education period. ALIEN: The extraterrestrial creature that Bruno encountered. Alien is a 1 m tall humanoid creature with gray skin and large black eyes. The UFO in which it comes, comes from Atlantis, which was once in the Atlantic Ocean and was buried underwater by a disaster. Atlantis is now under the ocean and there is a door opening from the inner world inside the Earth's crust. Warnings from Atlantis are tasked to warn a chosen supraliminal person around the world about the upcoming Apocalypse every 500 years. The mission of the Alien is to convey a very important message and warning to humanity in 1500 and he chose Bruno for it.

IMPORTANT PLACES MENTIONED IN THE BOOK

CÓRDOBA: The place where events began in the book and the city where Bruno was born and raised. Córdoba, an ancient Andalusian city in Spain, was almost the capital of Europe in science and civilization during the Middle Ages. The city, which has been home important universities since the Arab-Islam dominated Andalusian rule, has led to the development of great philosophers such as Averroesand Spinoza. In fact, it is thought that the Renaissance period that began with Leonardo Da Vinci originated with the influences of this Andalusian civilization.

GRANADA: An ancient Andalusian city in the south of Spain, where Bruno encountered the Alien and spent his youth alongside his uncle Reyes, where he performed his important work. Granada, located in the autonomous region of Andalusia in Spain, is famous for its red-colored Alhambra, which dates back from the Middle Ages and the Umayyads of Andalusia. Bruno planned the great sea voyage from here to the port of Almeria in the south, where he travelled from time to time.

AZORES: The first port of call of Bruno's voyage. After 2 months of sailing, they stayed on this island for a while. A giant pyramid and human statue they found here gave him the idea that this archipelago was a continuation of Atlantis.

CANARY ISLANDS: The second port of call of Bruno's voyage. After leaving the Azores, they stayed on this island for a while after 2 months sailing by ship. The giant circular stone columns and the statue of Poseidon in the middle of it, that they found here, gave him the idea that this archipelago was also a continuation of Atlantis.

JAMAICA (CAYMAN) ISLAND: Bruno took refuge on this island after his ship Santa Maria was stranded and damaged. Some time before reaching the Americas, the ship's company encountered the natives here for the first time and had to fight. Jamaica's oldest known name is the Cayman Islands. The principal inhabitants of Jamaica are believed to be the Arawak people, also called Taínos. They came from South America about 2500 years ago and called the island “Xaymaca”, meaning “land of trees and water”. The Arawaks were intertwined with nature away from other civilizations and completely closed to the outside world. Indigenous tribes closed to the outside world, similar to the Arawaks, are known to still live in the Amazons today.

THE YUCATAN PENINSULA: The peninsula in southern Mexico that was the center of the historic very ancient Mayan civilization surrounding the Gulf of Mexico. It means “pit of snakes” in the Yucatan Maya language. Most of the great and important temples and pyramids of the Maya civilization are here. The Yucatan peninsula, covered with dense forests, is where the Oracle Bruno first came ashore in America land.

CHICHEN ITZA: Located in the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico between Merida and Cancun, Itza is a Maya city founded in the pre-Christopher Columbus period. It was probably the religious center of Yucatan for a period. The most important temple of the Mayans is Ququlcan. According to the legend, the city was taken in the 10th century by the Toltecs, led by the legendary god of the Maya, Quetzalcoatl. In recent surveys, an observatory called Caracol was found in this very old city, whose history dates back to 12-18 thousand years before the Mayans. The structure has been given this name in the sense of “snail” due to the stone spiral-shaped staircase leading up to the sky. Also, the temple of the Abbot, which is called AkabDzib, which means "house of mysterious writings" in the Maya language, the Temple of the Warriors and the ball game field were found here. After Bruno sets foot on the Yucatan Peninsula in the Americas, he comes to this Mayan city marked on the map to solve the prophecy, because here is the Great Temple (Ququlcan), where the Doomsday calendar is located.

QUQULCAN TEMPLE: The Mayans built this pyramid-shaped temple with a specific counting system, as if they wanted to reveal their knowledge of astronomy and mathematics. For example, thepyramid has four sides, each one with 91 steps, which adds 4 x 91 up to 364 steps and if wecount the last platform as a step we get 365 steps, which is the number of days in the year. In addition, they have formed the pyramid in such a way that, during the autumn and spring equinoxes, the sun strikes off the corner of the pyramid and casts a series of triangular shadows, creating the illusion of a serpent ‘crawling’ down S-shaped on the pyramid (two-headed serpent). This snake is the feathered deity serpent, known as Ququlcan (Quetzalcoatl, the mythical god of the Mayans). One feature of the snake is that its body can take the shape of the orbits of the celestial bodies, drawing S's. They also arranged this pyramid-shaped temple in 9 different levels (similar to Dante's Inferno), such as the number of multiples of the underworld they believed in. Viewed from the top of the pyramid, it has an incredible view of a 300-hectare field, meaning that all the buildings in the city can be seen. The Mayans' great prophetic calendar is actually here, and the Oracle Bruno arrives at the Ququlcan temple here to decipher the Apocalypse. The final prophecy will be resolved here.

ATLANTIS: The mystery and secret that the Oracle Bruno really wanted to solve was the lost Atlantis civilization. Throughout his cruise to America, Bruno found traces of Atlantis everywhere he visited. Moreover, he thought that the temples he encountered in Yucatan and the Mayan prophecy calendar contained too deep information to be human art and that it was a superior building technology. The marked places on the map that the Alien gave him were the continuation of Atlantis, which was submerged. The dates of the beginning of humanity in the holy books go back to 6-7 thousand years BC. But, according to this, before humanity began, 11,000 years ago, there was a great civilization, and that civilization disappeared overnight, leaving almost no trace. Such an event would undoubtedly leave a deep mark on human memory. Survivors of disaster would remind their children of those terrible days, and they would tell their children the same way. Moreover, it was possible to see the remains of the story of Atlantis all over the world. In some places, lost countries such as Avalon, Asgard, Aztlan, Maya, Inca, Aztec, Egypt, Eden appear in stories, legends, in some places the flood is directly told. But legends are not enough on their own. Scientific evidence is also needed to support them. Here, very interesting new evidence has emerged recently.

Plato, one of the greatest Greek philosophers who lived between 350-450 BC and one of the greatest philosophers in history, wrote that hot and cold water gushed from the ground in Atlantis. This event is seen in the volcanic regions as well as in the Azores where the Atlantis mountains are supposed to be flooded. Plato wrote that walls were built of red and black stones in Atlantis, yet volcanic stones of these colors are still seen along the coast of the Azores. In addition, at a time when people thought the Earth was flat and the Sea (Atlantic Ocean) was believed to flow from the end of the world into the void, 2000 years before the discovery of the Americas, Plato was openly expressing the existence of Atlantis and the Americas. Another interesting impression in Plato's books is that there are very old settlements and civilizations on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. It is possible to see mysterious works similar to the Nazca Lines in North America and Peru. According to a recent study, the megalith (large stone) used on these shores are much older than thought and were made 10-12.000 years ago.

This book is historical science-fiction. In 2019, it began to be written in Sirince, the famous Doomsday village near Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, which was once the center of the ancient world.

The history of the world is more full of unknowns rather than the knowns. THREE MYSTERIOUS EVENTS UNEXPLAINED IN HISTORY:

"The Lost Ship, A Mysterious Map And The Bermuda Triangle”

1-MARY CELESTE:

AN ABANDONED SHIP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE OCEAN

The story of the ship Mary Celeste begins on December 5, 1872, when a British ship, Dei Gratia,sighted a seemingly abandoned ship drifting through the Atlantic near the Azores Islands about 1,000 miles west of Portugal.

When the crew of theDei Gratiaboarded theMary Celeste, they foundeverything in perfect orderwith even the crew’s clothes neatly packed away, yet no people anywhere to be found. The only clues about the lack of people were a disassembled pump in the hold and a missing lifeboat. So began one of the most enduring mysteries of the sea.

In this story, which is one of the most mysterious sea accidents in history, all theories have been considered, from wild stories involving sea monsters to fires caused by alcohol burden. However, there was never any clear evidence of what actually happened on the Mary Celeste.

On November 7, 1872, Captain Benjamin Briggs and the crew of the Mary Celeste, a merchant ship with a cargo of alcohol, had left New York Harbor to sail for Genoa, Italy. The captain sailed with his wife and daughter along with his seven chosen crew, but they never reached their destination. After leaving New York, Mary Celeste sailed in the ocean for two weeks. Finally, on November 25, the captain wrote his latest notes in the log.

But when theDei Gratiafound Mary Celesteon Dec. 5, there was not a person in sight. When the captain of theDei Gratiaboarded the ghost ship, he found three and a half feet of water in the bilge, the lowest point of the ship that sits below the waterline. The cargo was intact, though some of the barrels were empty. The sailors who saw Mary Celeste were suddenly stunned. Because there wasn't a single person on board. An abandoned ship in the middle of an ocean wasn't a good sign. The ship's sails were torn in places and The Mary Celeste was drifting towards the Strait of Gibraltar. But that's not all the coincidences inside this lonely ship. It was very strange that there was no sign of a confrontation or accident. Although there was water on the ship's deck that had reached a height of 1 meter, The Mary Celeste had not sunk. 1 lifeboat, compass and log were also missing. The cargo and the crew's provisions were in place. Therefore, if there had been a pirate attack, all the goods would have been looted. Despite all this, the Ghost Ship Mary Celeste was unfit to make its way across the ocean, so Dei Gratia's crew disbanded the two ships and went to Gibraltar, where they could assemble and claim salvage rights under the law of the sea.

Why Was Mary Celeste Abandoned?

Where did Mary Celeste's crew go? This incident was never explained.

The ship was suitable for sailing and had six months of water and food to supply the crew. A captain would leave his ship only in the most difficult circumstances, but this seemed quite abnormal for Mary Celeste.

When the two ships arrived at Gibraltar, Dei Gratia expressed a request for rescue. The Admiral's court held the Dei Gratia captain and crew responsible for the incident as the first suspect. But after a three-month investigation they found no evidence. Dei Gratia's crew ultimately received their pay for the rescue. However, the payment they received for Mary Celeste was only one-sixth of the total value of $ 46,000. It seems the authorities were not entirely convinced of their innocence.

A Real Theory?

In 1884, the famous writer Arthur Conan Doyle wrote his short story, J. HabakukJephson's Statement, based on the story of Mary Celeste. The introduction of the short story led to a new investigation about the ship. Finally, in 2002, the documentary maker Anne MacGregor began to investigate. Using several modern methods, hereconstructedthe drift of the ghost ship and deduced that the captain had a defective compass and was hopelessly out of course. The Mary Celeste was more than 120 miles west of where it should have been.

Mary Celeste's captain expected to see land, but that never happened. The captain then changed course towards Santa María Island in the Azores. So far so good, but this would not cause a captain to leave the ship. However, MacGregor also learned that the ship had been reconditioned a short time ago and during this renovation, the bilge engines (the pump that was responsible for throwing water entering the bottom of the ship) were filled with coal dust.

And if the pumps don't work, there’s no way to pump the water that could get into the ship’s bilge, so Captain Briggs may have at least sought refuge on a nearby mysterious island (Santa Maria).

MacGregor's theory is not universally accepted, or even definitively demonstrable, but at least it aligns with the evidence (the disassembled bomb, for example) in a way that other theories do not. 130 years after this last incident, the mystery of Mary Celeste is still not fully solved.

2- ODDITIES IN CARTA MARINA MAP

A very interesting map was drawn in the Middle Ages. The drawings of a man named Olaus Magnus showed unusual things. There are many famous maps in the history of cartography and discoveries. For example, the map of Piri Reis, a Turkish sailor and Ottoman admiral. One of them is Carta Marina, compiled by Swedish Christian Religious Scholar and Explorer Olaus Magnus who lived in the 16th century, and when this mysterious map was discovered in medieval times, it was found to contain many mysteries.

Olaus Magnus (1490-1557), was a Swedish, Catholic priest, travelled the northern parts of the Kingdom of Sweden from the Valley of the Tornio River to Pello in 1519 in relation to church affairs. With inspiration from this journey, he published his book A Description of theNorthern Peoples (Historia de gentibusseptentrionalis), which became a classic in 1555 and was influential for a long time.

Carta Marina, the map called “Sea Map", just like PiriReis' map, is a very well-known interesting work in the west. The map prepared by Olaus Magnus (1490-1557) in the 16th century provides detailed information about the countries in the North of the World. The map was also filled with some strange sea monsters. The places where these monsters appear are marked one by one on the map and the sailors who will use the map are reminded of the critical areas to look out for:

●  The map, which is well known among crypto-expert zoologists, shows for example vortices;

●  The areas where the Icebergs (ice mountains) are located have been recalled.

●  So, what was shown in this drawing (above picture), which was shown as Danger (A) on the map?

●  What kind of sea creature was this thing that is said to be deadly to sailors?

●  Besides, the object in this drawing was more like a ship than a monster. However, it is immediately noted that it has elements that are not in any depiction of its era.

Was that a submarine? Or was it a pirate ship? Or was it a UFO or, more accurately, a USO (Unidentified Swimming Object) that was often seen by sailors at that time?

The Carta Marina Map (Carta marina etdescriptioseptentrionaliumterrarum ac mirabiliumrerum) published in 1539, long before this work by Olaus Magnus, was a preliminary to this later work. Completed in Venice in 1539, it formed the main source for maps of the region of Scandinavia until Anders Bure's (Orbisarctoi nova etaccuratadelineatio) map was published in 1626.

Carta Marina is the first map to show the geography of the northern countries in a way that is close to the truth. Although the Inland sides are still drawn arbitrarily, the coasts appear to be drawn more realistically.

Carta Marina is the best known work of Olaus Magnus. The map, which has a total size of 175 x 125 cm, was prepared in nine separate wooden blocks and was printed in Venice in 1539. The reason the map was printed in Venice is because Olaus Magnus left his country at the time and was living in exile in Italy.

Olaus' brother John had been served archbishop of Uppsalain 1523. John, who could not prevent the attempts of Swedish King Gustav I to spread Lutheranism, went to Rome in 1537. He was accompanied by Olaus, who served as his secretary. When his brother John died in 1544, he was appointed as Archbishop of Uppsala, in his place, but that remained on paper. Olaus spent the rest of his life in Italy, and mostly in Rome. Here he continued his studies that would make him one of the most important geographers and cartographers of the Renaissance period.

3 - BERMUDA TRIANGLE AND ITS UNSOLVED MYSTERY

Is the Bermuda Triangle a myth? Or is it a tale made up by old-time sailors? I wonder if there really is something supernatural going on there from time to time. Or is it, according to someone, an unknown technology left over from The Lost Continent of Atlantis that causes events? Money is the main reason behind contemporary myths that are outside of mythological myths; people create unnatural stories or facts, creating economic potential where the event occurs.

If we list contemporary myths, the Bermuda Triangle will surely be in the top three. The mystery of Bermuda has a lot of material than its counterparts, it is publicly available, the material used in books, films makes up very little as described. In fact, there is incredibly large material left behind. But the main goal here is primarily to discuss the claims of publications that are supposed to be scientific, that is, that science cannot bother to provide a popular explanation. What is being discussed here are the claims that there are events at the speed of light in the Triangle, or that the Triangle is a mystical field, or that it is the base of the UFO (USO), and that the gates of Atlantis are under the water here.

Some of these are the entertainment of the novelists, while others are compilations of pseudonymous semi-scientists in the horror film line based on unreleased and unproven rumors.

But where is the truth, and more importantly, who has the authority to tell the truth? Is this Triangle really a dangerous place? Are we making an accurate description of the mystery location in the Bermuda Triangle? How can a plane or a bird disappear without a trace?

The Deadly Game of the Stream

The second edition of the Oxford English Dictionary, published in February 1964, is the encyclopedic source for the first time featuring the phrases "Bermuda Triangle" or "Devil's Triangle". The phrases were used in the article "Argosy" i.e. large merchant ships, creating a cross-border exaggeration around the description of a mythic Bermuda Triangle. The official dimensions of the Triangle are Bermuda, Puerto Rico-San Juan, and USA, Florida-Miami. However, when we review the events, we notice that they have been crossed out of this border, and they spread out into the North Atlantic. They are sometimes found in the Eastern Pacific, in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Gulf Stream current comes first among the currents that pass or affect the Bermuda Triangle. The current runs from the tip of Florida to Britain. The Gulf Stream is behind the formation of the famous fog of London, and the Gulf Stream is the reason for the moderate climate in many European countries and Canada. The Gulf Stream is a strong current, meaning it is strong enough to propel many birds and novice sailors into the sea. It can even push a large ship in front of the currents, first pushing north, to the east of Florida and up to the Bahamas. In the Florida Strait, which separates Florida and the Bahamas, the direction and speed of the current changes and it accelerates and heads north in turbulence. What does this mean? A ship that goes upstream will head east and then northeast. If we are watching or observing the ship along the shore, we can see it quickly or rapidly over a short distance, and then we watch the ship disappear over the horizon in a short period of time. What's worse is that even if the ship is turning west, it's still being pushed by the current to the northeast. That is, the Gulf Stream could lead novice sailors or weak boats in their direction. It is impossible for a small canoe moving with a shovel to escape the current.

The Incredible Depth of the Ocean

The coasts of the North American continent are very beautiful, the beauty of the blue waters is especially obvious in the Caribbean. If you watch many parts of the Caribbean Islands flying above the coast, you'll see giant blocks lying for miles beneath the clear waters. This is a glorious image, and it is so clear that you can clearly see a submerged plane or parts of it underwater that the black boxes of many crashed aircraft were able to be found in this way. Large jets have all kinds of speed adjustment devices, while small planes have nothing but the so-called "Emergency Locator Transmitter". The black boxes on these small planes don't work adequately underwater. In addition, the sand waves on the ocean floor shake from time to time in the form of clouds, making the devices not working so well. Sunken small boats are also overlooked for these reasons and cannot even be seen by the most advanced radars. If so, it is a very small possibility to find sunken boats below a certain diameter.

The real danger is that the ocean floor continues thousands of miles along the continental coast as very shallow, as divers plunging into the shallow shores of the Caribbean have seen. So this shallow coast is also the ocean floor, and when you sailed little more, as a surprise, the depth can suddenly reach hundreds of meters. 100 miles north of Puerto Rico is the deepest point in the Atlantic Ocean, the depth of the Puerto Rico Trench reaches 9,200 meters. Depth in the Florida Strait exceeds 5,000 meters. The depth in the region, which between the Grand Bahamas to the Northeast Providence Channel, is between 2,000 and 4,000 meters. So when swimming, diving or sailing with your boat at a depth of five to ten meters, a depth of thousands of meters can appear underwater in a few minutes. And for all these reasons, countless planes and boats have disappeared without a trace on these shallow shores. In short, from Miami to the Bahamas, the depth of the ocean is approximately 6,000 meters, and these waters are not calm at all. Underneath this region, there is a giant large plateau and underwater mountains, each of which reaches up to 9-10 thousand meters (even higher than Everest, the highest mountain in the world). But why?

Arctic Chaos and the Failure of Columbus

In the Bermuda Triangle, for some as yet unknown reason, it is often described that compasses don't work. There are three basic poles on Earth; The Magnetic Pole, the Grid Pole, and the True or Celestial Pole. The True Pole is determined by the Polaris star, the North Star, and the constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor, the Big Bear and the Little Bear, are observed to find its location, the last bright star seen when the two stars at the tip of the Little Bear rise up above it is Polaris. The Grid Pole is the true pole at 90 degrees latitude, seen on maps and spheres, not in the same direction as Polaris, sometimes differing. The Magnetic Pole shown by the compasses is thousands of miles beyond the Grid Pole; it shows a magnetic field, which is one of them located in the Baffin Islands in Hudson Bay. The small (x) mark that you will see in some spheres indicates this location.

As far as is known, Christopher Columbus was the first sailor to encounter strange Compass movements while crossing the Atlantic. He was the first to see the difference between the True pole and The Magnetic Pole, or that it was not the same, and he recorded it in his ship's log. But how successful the Compass was 500 years ago is a matter of debate, and Columbus may have thought so. There are two longitudes in the world that are Magnetic and Grid or Magnetic and True North; one is near the center of Europe and the other is east of the United States. As you travel across the Atlantic, you see the difference between Magnetic and Grid North increasing. This difference, which is 4 degrees near Portugal, reaches up to 22 degrees in the Sargasso Sea, in the middle of the Atlantic. When you get to Cape Florida, the difference will drop to one or even half a degree. Although this explanation does not seem very sufficient, it is in the direction of explaining some compass deviations. The event of Christopher Columbus and the Bermuda Triangle is a historical annotation. The famous sailor has experienced strange events in the Sargasso Sea, his compass has deviated and he has seen strange lights in the sea.

First of all, it must be said that Columbus was an excellent sailor and captain, had experienced numerous problems in the seas and struggled with nature. His crew believed in his abilities, and on his first voyage, the crew's fear was that they would run out of food and water, rather than being unable to see land. He did not know how large the ocean was, the distance to land, and his accounts were unique to him.

In that era, the Earth was divided into two, the horizon and beyond... The beyond was an unknown place. The Earth was believed to be flat. According to Columbus, the circumference of the Earth was 15,000 miles, and Columbus went beyond the sea to reach the Sargasso Sea, which was a puzzle for him and his men, as they approached land they saw birds but did not see land. Then they continued west across the Atlantic, but their compass did not show The True pole, only Columbus was aware of what was going on, he did not tell anyone, whereas the Compass was normal because the magnetic pole was near Prince of Wales Island. Columbus and his crew saw a meteor falling into the water that same night, he would write in his diary that “a large blaze of fire fell into the sea with lights shining and disappeared.” This unusual event was extraordinary for them. We're following events from Columbus' log:

“On the night of October 11 I saw lights in the distance, everyone was asleep, I showed it by calling two of my men. The light was gone when the third man arrived. After the incident was heard, the crew asked for a return, I asked them for a few days; If the land did not appear, we would return. I promised the first man to see the land a reward. There were birds around and seaweeds were swimming in the sea, we thought the clouds, which had descended to the sea, were a part of land several times. So I increased the reward.

The light seen on the night of October 11 belonged to Hispaniola Island, but it was running parallel to the distance, and then I saw a few more lights and they fell out to sea and then suddenly disappeared. I didn't tell anyone about this incident. A sailor namedRodrigo de Triana, on the Pinta ship, saw land, clouds or fog cleared and the island had appeared; that was where we had seen light the night before. As my men on Santa Maria travelled through a mossy, foggy sea with birds flying over it, we again saw lights moving in the sky, and we now began to think that we encountered supernatural forces in this mysterious environment, or that the source of the lights was probably a fire lit on the island. But, we were wrong…”
