In a remote village, hidden among the dense forests of the Kingdom of Eldoria, lived a young man named Arlen. Arlen was not like the other children in the village. He had a gift that he often perceived as a curse: he could look into the future.
From birth, Arlen carried this unusual ability. As soon as he closed his eyes and concentrated, he saw fugitive images of what was to come – sometimes hours, sometimes days, or even years in the future. But what really disturbed him was the fact that these visions were never clear and unambiguous. They were fragments, fragments of a puzzle he was desperately trying to put together.
Arlen was cautious with his gift, because in Eldoria supernatural abilities were often more of a cause for fear than for admiration. Only his grandmother Lyra knew his secret. She told him stories of ancient times when people like him were respected as visionaries. "Use your gift wisely," she always said. “Looking into the future is a two-edged sword.”
One day, as Arlen walked through the woods to gather berries, he stumbled upon a strange lightning he had never seen before. In the middle of the pavement there was an old, crumbled tree carrying a strange silver bark. Curious as he was, Arlen approached the tree and laid his hand on the cold bark.
Suddenly a lightning flashed through him and he was caught by a vision. He saw his village in flames, people running around in panic and a dark figure with a burning sword in his hand. The vision faded, but the fear remained. Arlen knew he had to act.
Back in the village, he told his grandmother about the vision. She listened attentively to him, then kissed slowly. "It's time, Arlen. You have to go to the castle and warn the king. This danger, which you have seen, can only be avoided by you."The journey was cumbersome. He crossed deep forests, climbed high mountains and survived numerous dangers. During the nights, when the moon was bright in the sky, Arlen had other visions. They were confusing, showing various ways he could take, but no clear answers.
Nevertheless, his instinct continued.
