Here is my travel stories and field research experiences of different four places of Bangladesh. I went to that places to do field research on the migrant and nonmigrant people as a field research assistant of Refugee and Migratory Movement Research Unit, RMMRU. This book includes nice stories about life and livelihood of migrant and nonmigrant people of the places.  Different sceneries of that places and outsider sceneries of going to that places from Dhaka city have been described in this book.

I and my five other team mates were starting journey from Dhaka to Satkhira to do field research on the migrant people at night on a AC bus. We cannot see the outer environment scene because of dark night. It was early morning when we reached at khulna road. Bus manager was shouting who are the passengers to descend at Khulna road. We spent the the whole night on the bus sleeping and wearing a blanket to our body to head. We reached at Shyamnagar at 7 am. We took breakfast in a hostel. After taking breakfast, we took a micro bus to go Gabura union, Shyamnagor. We saw the natural beauty of outside area of the road. Both men and women were doing something in water flooded land. Water was to their kneel. Perhaps they were catching fingerlings. I enjoyed talk with my colleagues Mr. Anas , Mr. Shommo, Mr. Partha da and Mr. Choyon on different issues. Mr. Shommo was talking to see the nearer large gher(canel). He was talking about Mr. partha da that he is a student of forest department. He has toured many places. He can be a good guide to tour and travel. We saw large gher(canel). People are cultivating fish land after land. We reached at Satkhira District Dak Bangla in the morning.

We were happy to see the hotel.  In first day, we were taking meal going to a local hostel. From second day, hostel boys brought our dinner to hotel. We enjoyed eating sea fishes such as paissha, paira, tengra, crab etc. fishes. Taste of every fish was ever memorable. At the last day we ate crab that tastes more than eating chingri(white gold).

At the first day, we went to meet the honorable chairman of Gabura Union to take his concent to do field research at the union. The union is a like an island. It was distant from other places of the area by river. We have to cross a small river to go the union. We saw poor men and women are catching fingerlings at bank of the river.

Reaching to boat stop, We saw different NGO’s placards on boat stop . The union is Sidr and Aila affected area. So many NGO’s are working to rehabilitate the people.
