Laugh-out-loud hilarity with two-colour illustrations from the incomparable Pamela Butchart - three stories of mayhem and chaos where pupils' imaginations run riot... Year 2 at Wigglesbottom Primary is never boring. They don't expect to run a race against a chicken at Sports Day, or eat green toxic slime at lunch (it's halloween custard!) or that Anne Marie Moor is an ant queen and one of her subjects is called Lady Gaga. BUT THEY LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Perfect for newly-independent readers, these are more funny school stories from award-winning Pamela Butchart, brilliantly illustrated by Becka Moor.

So that’s when Jayden King did a bit of a DANCE to see what the chicken would do.
And we all
because the chicken did a dance as well!
None of us could believe what was happening because the chicken was obviously
Jayden King said that we needed to VIDEO the chicken and put it online and that we’d all be millionaires because we had a
at our school!
But then Mr Harris blew his WHISTLE and said that it was time for the SACK RACE.
The chicken WATCHED us as we all stood on the STARTING LINE.
Then Mr Harris blew his whistle again and we all started HOPPING in our sacks and the chicken started HOPPING on ONE LEG in its pen!
Then when it was time for the EGG AND SPOON race, the chicken started
Sunita Ram said she thought the chicken might be ANGRY because it thought we’d taken its EGGS for the EGG AND SPOON RACE.
And that made us feel bad so we knew that we had to be EXTRA CAREFUL with the eggs. So we all did the egg and spoon race EXTRA SLOWLY
