Cold Night

IT WAS A COLD AND dark dreary night. The moon was out but it was a very thin crescent shape. The air was very foggy and thick. You couldn’t see more than 25 feet ahead of you. It had been raining earlier and the wet residue of the rain had made its way into the ground. The ground was muddy and thick, slushy and disgustingly gross. All of the creepy crawlies in the ground were we going about and if you left your hand in there long enough I’m sure all of the creepy crawlies would make their way up your arm and eventually find their way to your face.

This was no place for the little girl to be wondering about at night. Especially not this night, there was a battle going on that the little girl would have no way of knowing about, but to her own demise it was unmistakably a blessing for the pack of witches who were hunting for a scared little girl. They needed her tonight. They had been on the hunt all week searching for the essential ingredients for their potion. This potion was to be made from the cauldron, it was called a mage’s last wish and this was the beginning of the end for this little girl, or so she thought.

Eat Your Vegetables

YOU SEE, EARLIER THIS NIGHT her parents were forcing her to eat her vegetables for lunch and then during dinner they said they would not give her her regular dinner unless she ate the vegetables that she left over from lunch. The little girl did not like the fact that her parents were forcing her to eat disgusting vegetables and the sparked the whole fight in the little household. They lived on the outskirts of town in a very small cottage. There wasn’t a lot of stores around and you had to drive at least 25 minutes to get to the nearest grocery store or gas station. They lived deep in the wood in the country and normally this was a very pleasant household. The household was filled with joy and laughter. The little girl was home schooled and the mom and her had a very close relationship. But recently they had begun to not let the little girl get whatever she wants whenever she wants, they needed to teach her some discipline and he needs teacher what was a healthy way to eat.

Things in the household escalated quickly when it was discovered that there would be no dinner unless those vegetables were eaten. After it was made clear that those vegetables were not going to be consumed by the little girl, she was sent to her room and forced to not play on any of the electronics. She was allowed to either go to sleep, come out and eat the vegetables, or go to sleep for the night. The little girl was not very happy with this ultimatum and she decided that she would take things into her own hands. She was friends with a little boy down the street a few blocks away and she decided that her parents were no longer a good fit for her. So she opened up her window after she closed her door and snuck away.

Lost and Alone

WHILE THE LITTLE GIRL WAS scavenging through the forest and down the street to try to meet up with her friend, she got lost in thought she was supposed to take a shortcut through the forest. Unfortunately she got turned around yet again and before she knew that she was deep in the forest trying to get out. That’s when she saw the fire. It was in a clearing of the forest and she thought she would ask for help at whoever was having the campfire.

As she drew closer to the campfire she heard a lot of people laughing and parading around. They were dancing and drumming and humming and singing. It was a very energetic and enchanting sound. And then as she drew even closer she could hear it was mostly females, old ladies it sounded like.

It looks like they were playing costume or dress up. It was definitely not Halloween, it was the middle of June, but the little girl thought that they were just having fun, but when they turned around and she noticed that not only were they wearing which outfits but their faces were covered with bumps and their noses were long and pointy, just like their hats. That’s when things got a little bit scary for the girl. The ladies voices were high pitch and aggressive.

Witches Circle

“HI, I AM LOST, CAN you guys point me to the direction of the town.”

The whole which circle went silent in all of the dancing witches came to a halt. All that was left was the sound of the crackling fire in the boiling which brew that was now revealed to the little girl.

After the silence subsided it was broken by the witches laughing crazily. They started laughing and cackling. Even louder. They were excited and that brought them into more chanting and circling around the fire but not only the fire they were now circling around the little girl.

All of their dancing was making the little girl dizzy and one of the witches put out a little stool for her to sit on while they danced around her. Little girl sat down, still they didn’t answer or respond to her. All they did was dance around her continuously. The little girl began to be frightened and started to shake on the chair.

“What should we do with this one, can we throw this one in the pot? She looks a little bit scared. I think we could use some more scared girls in our cauldron.” Lorena the witch said to Tonya the head witch.

“I’m not sure. Let me see her. I need to gauge the fear level in this little child.” Tonya said as she walked towards the little one. The little girl had to have been no more than 10 years of age and was sitting there on a little stool frightened half to death. She was visibly shaking as Tonya walked over to her. The little girl noticed Tonya’s crooked trademark witch nose and as Tonya bent down she saw how tall her witches hat was, very pointy and black.

“Tell me, little girl, how scared are you right now?”
