In 2008, she received the Prix des libraires for her bestseller No and Me and the Prix Renaudot for young adult fiction for Nothing Holds Back the Night.

It was met with a positive reception from critics and was shortlisted for the Prix Goncourt, France’s most prestigious literary award.
“Underground time” refers to the many hours that the story’s protagonists Mathilde and Thibault spend on public transport. During this time, Mathilde is consumed by thoughts of her burnout, while Thibault cannot stop thinking about his apathetic mistress.
The novel deals with a number of postmodern themes, including the world of business, depression in the face of everyday life and loneliness in big cities. De Vigan deals with these themes through her two main characters, who, at least on the surface, have everything they need to be happy.
Summary
