All the stories in this flash fiction book, long to be acts of pure sovereignty of the spirit, the howl of an indomitable character before the overwhelming drama of reality. A Mirror for Mankind could be considered a legatee of all those cultures which the author explored across the decades of a personal and spiritual search, a whole journey of the soul that can be resumed as pure love for the human condition, beautiful and suffering. Thus he was able to create a literature that responds to its own aesthetic designs, producing a personal mythological 'human comedy', giving life to characters that seem to project their existence beyond the closure of the text, embracing the reader's own thoughts.

Alejandro Córdoba Sosa is a storyteller, novelist, poet and playwright, born in Argentina in 1971. His stories were included in several anthologies. Under the pen name 'Alejandro Zenteno Lobo', he published ‘Doscientos y un cuentos en miniatura’ (2007), his first flash fiction book which was translated into English as Two hundred and one miniature tales (2015).
His most renown short tales have been gathered in two collections, ‘El enigma de O.’ (2013) and ‘El destino de la especie’ (2014).
His novels “Una Soledad’ (2015) and ‘Cruceros Boreal’ (2017) have been critcally acclaimed for his style ‘rich in poetic nuances, vehemently emotional and brutally powerful’.
In 2018, a collection of many of his finest poems is published under the name ‘Devocionario Terrenal’.
As a playwright, three of his most acclaimed plays are gathered and published as ‘La Flor de Plomo’ (2019), all representative of an ‘irreverent and transgressive perspective, a signature of this writer’s vision’.
A mirror for Mankind, a flash fiction book originally published in Spanish as ‘La humanidad en el espejo’ (2016), is the most emblematic expresion of what critics have called the ‘mithologic realism’ of this frutiful author.
