About the author:
Pastor Peter Ngulube is a Christian and a member of the Pentecostal Assemblies of God Church in Mkushi. He has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Development Studies from UNZA, a certificate in Teaching Methodology from Kopaline University and a certificate in Ministry from the Pentecostal Theological College. He is a qualified counselor and lecturer. He is married to Leah Kamau and they have a daughter together named Princess Nandi Ngulube.
Pastor Ngulube is a public speaker and an activist who believes in preparing young people for a productive furure.

Introduction

Jamesisa25yearoldman.Hecompletedhissecondaryschooleducationin2004.HethenwentontostudyEngineeringattheUniversityofZambiaandgraduatedwithaMerit.Hestartedworkinginabigcompanyandwasmakingapproximatelyk14,000everymonth.HeisabornagainChristianandadeaconathischurch.Heishappilymarriedandhastwochildren.HeandhiswifeMercyhaveabigbusinesswhichtheyrun.TheysellchickensonorderpricesandtheyalsoownaboutiqueinthecentralbusinessdistrictofLusaka.Heandhisfamilyarethereforelivingacomfortablelife.Hehoweverbegantofeelunwellin2013andwasdiagnosedwithdiabetesandhighbloodpressure.Hewasfurtherputontreatmentandoftenvisitsthehospitalforcheckups. 

Maryisa26yearoldladywhowasborninaveryrichfamily.Shewenttothebestschoolsthecountrycouldofferandevenwhenshefailedanexam,herparentswouldpayherwaytothenextlevel.Shewenttouniversityandgraduatedwithasilentdegree.Duetothelargeamountofmoneyherparentshad,shedidnothavetosufferinjobhuntingbutwasgivenahighpositionatwork.Sheoftenspendsherweekendsmovingfrombartobarwithherfriendsandiscommonlyknownbyherfriendsas“LittleFish”becauseshedrinksalot.Shedoesn’trememberthelasttimesheenteredachurchandbelievesreligionisforthepoor.Jacquelinerecallsthatherbestmomentoflifewaswhenshegotbaptizedasshewadawaitedforthatmomentsinceshewasalittlegirl.Sherecallsalwaysattendingbaptismservicesandawaitingthetimewhenshewouldbeofage.Sheisnow18andisaPraiseleaderwholovesworshipandisalsoaSundayschoolteacher. Shehoweverlostbothparentsinacaraccidentwhenshewasonly11yearsofage.Shethereforedroppedoutofschoolingrade7inordertobegintoscoutformoneytotakecareofheryoungersiblings.Shehencestruggleseverydaytomakeendsmeet.Sherecallshowshereallywantedtobeanaccountantinaverybeautifulofficeofabank. Alltheabovethreestoriesaretryingtoexplainresttosomedegree.
