Binding The Strong Man

PREFACE

I came about “BINDING THE STRONG MAN” when I was invited to Port Harcourt in 1982 to lead a week-long mission to the River State University of Science and Technology. My host found me a lodging place in one of the hotels and while I was there suddenly, the Lord showed me a vision. I saw demons coming out from the water. They came to meet me and said, “yes, don't you like staying on the land?” I said “yes I do”. Then they asked, “why did I keep casting them into the river when I know it is good to stay on land”. I couldn't understand all that was happening, and in a moment the revelation just went off.

I went into prayers, and asked GOD what all was about. And the Lord said, “Son you have never known how to bind the demons. You need to bind them. They are here following you wherever you are going, in annoyance. But for my grace they would have dealt with you. You need to know how to bind the strongman”. And I am here in this book sharing with you what GOD taught me about “BINDING THE STRONGMAN”. 

CHAPTER ONE- THE STRONG MAN

But when the Pharisees heard it, they said this fellow does not cast out devils but by Be-el-zebub the prince of the devils. And Jesus knew their thought and said… or else how can one enter into a strongman's house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strongman? And then he will spoil his house.

Mt. 12:24-29.

Jesus began to talk about binding the strongman when he was talking about casting out devils, and this strongman refers to the devil himself and his principalities and powers. The devil has others working under him. These are evil spirits and are numerous. They are fallen angels which rebelled against GOD, and were cast down from heaven. Ephesians 6:12, tells us of principalities and powers, spiritual wickedness in high places and the rulers of the darkness of this world.

            Because the spirits are numerous they have different assignments and are spread over kingdoms to rule the affairs of such nations in the spirit realm. There are some areas where the people are known for being wicked, others for fornication and adultery. This is as a result of the spirit realm of these areas. Daniel chapter 10 gives us an account of Daniel's prayers being withheld by a spiritual prince of Persia. I treated this aspect in details in my book “How To Demonstrate The Defeat Of The Devil.
