CHAPTER ONE SPIRITUAL LAW GOVERNING HERITAGES
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…And God said, let there be light and there was light… And God created great whales and every living creature that moveth which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their KIND, and every winged foul after his KIND: and God saw that it was good. And God said let the earth bring forth the living creatures after his KIND and cattle after his KIND and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his KIND: and it was so.
Genesis 1:1,3,21,24
The first spiritual law governing heritages is that EARTHLY POSSESSIONS ARE SPIRITUALLY INSPIRED WHETHER OF GOD OR the devil. We saw how GOD called Abraham in Genesis 12:1-3, to follow him and said to him, “I will bless thee and make thy name great and thou shall be a blessing…” GOD promised to bless Abraham and indeed he did, and the blessings became manifested. GOD blesses his children.
Jesus Christ is the author of godly heritages. We find in Romans 8:17, that we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. If joint heirs with Christ, then we have the same right as Jesus has to heaven and the things of GOD. That is why Jesus said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out and find pasture”. Jesus further speaks in John 16:24, “HITHERTO HAVE YE ASKED NOTHING IN MY NAME: ASK, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE, THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE FULL”. These are all passages in the scriptures telling us that GOD is the author of all godly heritages and material blessings.
On the other hand, the devil is the author of the physical material possessions of those who are not GOD's children, because hereditary spirits are the author of the quest for heredity. In Mathew chap. 4, Jesus was taken up to a high pinnacle and the devil showed him all the kingdom of the world and said, “I will give it thee, if thou, wilt fall down and worship me”. (Mathew 4:9). Thank GOD JESUS didn't bow because everything has been made by Him. The devil has nothing to offer to the creator of all things.
True enough, there are many unbelievers who are wealthy. That is because the devil inspires wealth for those who are loyal to him. 2Corinthians 4:4, tells us “…the god of this world has blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ,…shine unto them”.
The god of this world is the devil and he has his roots in people who have yielded themselves to him. He inspires them and directs them. That is why in occult practices, we find people who kill others even their own children or wives, to get wealth. That is the system in the spirit world of the devil.
The second spiritual law governing heritages reveals that WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE WILL YOUR HEART BE ALSO. (Matthew 6:21). You are therefore a share to the author of your prosperity and possessions. The question then is, WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF YOUR POSSESSION OR THE PROPERTY YOU ARE STRIVING TO INHERIT?
