 In the last twenty years, carotid stenting has become a valid integration to the traditional surgical treatment in the prevention of cerebral stroke. Broad themes still remain open: who should be the operator, which patients can and must be treated and, not least, which materials should be used.  In this book we wanted, through a review of clinical cases, to focus on two fundamental points –in our opinion- of carotid stenting: platelet function and imaging modality.  Furthermore, the cases reported are not necessarily challenging but they are often conventional and easy to perform. In fact, the purpose of this text is to bring closer to the endovascular method also those neophytes who are willing to not miss a train that is already in the running.
