BEATING ADHD SERIES (BOOK 2)
THANK YOU FOR PURCHASING the 2nd book in the “Beating ADHD” series. The previous instalment focused on general tips to tackle, challenge, and ultimately beat ADHD. It was written in a manner to help both genders. This eBook takes a step forward and further specifies 50 tips for women with ADHD to follow.
If this is the first book you have picked up, welcome to the series. All can be read as ‘standalone’ eBooks (if you choose to do so) or they can be read together. Some will connect with you, while others will not.
The goal of each eBook in this series is to provide a nice set of 50 tips to immediately implement in your life and start moving towards a positive future.
Women with ADHD have certain realities in their lives, which do not correlate with what men have to deal with. Does this mean women face an increasingly difficult version of ADHD? No, this is not the case. However, it is important for a woman to take the foundational tips (as presented in the first eBook) and add to them. In a sense, this read will help pinpoint those foundational tips and how to add onto them as a woman to further optimize your life.
Having ADHD is unpleasant and can essentially steal away control from your life. At any point, your mind can start wandering and you become almost helpless as your attention wanes. Even when you realize, it is time to sit down and focus, you just can’t.
This eBook will demonstrate what a woman should do in order to get ahead of the ADHD and remain there for the rest of her life.
Sit back and read this set of tips with an eye towards the future.
You won’t be disappointed.
AS A WOMAN, YOU have it far worse. How is this possible you may ask? What about gender equality?! Indeed, this is a fair question to ask. How can women possibly have it worse when scientifically the symptoms are the exact same? The answer lies at the feet of what society expects of women when it comes to social mannerisms. A woman is expected to present herself properly in most situations far more often than a man is. There are certain realities men can get away with which a woman might not be able to while having ADHD.
This chapter will take a glance at what is required for a woman to get past these issues and ten tips that can be implemented right away to fend off such social expectations.
This is one of the biggest mistakes you can make as a woman when presented with such situations. The reason to not fight back has nothing to do with being a woman, but with the reaction it will cause. Firstly, fighting back will result in raising your own frustration level and it will ruin your image in front of everyone else.
Learn to not fight back and simply take in the information that is being directed towards your direction. This will help you learn what is being done correctly and what needs immediate fixing.
It is important to find your comfort zone. This is a place that you can go to and just relax and take your mind off whatever is bothering you. If people around you are picking on you and causing your ADHD to worsen, it is time to find a spot to relax in.
This place can be anywhere. It can be your basement with the nice, big TV or just a nice park that is close to home. Find this place and learn to go to it whenever you want that ‘break’.
Too often, you will want to blame the rest of the world. You will want to blame the people around you, but that is never the right way to approach this issue.
When dealing with ADHD, you have to learn to focus internally. Learn to reflect on what is happening in your life and why your focus is wandering. There is no need to blame everyone else because they are responding to the energy you are feeding towards them. When you change this energy, they will change too.
