This wobble translates to a "chattering" line on your glass or metal. You want this connection to be surgically clean and tight.
2. The Spindle Lock Button
Located near the front of the tool (usually a small, depressed button on the neck), the Spindle Lock is the mechanic’s best friend. When you press this button, a pin engages with the internal driveshaft, stopping it from rotating. This allows you to unscrew the Chuck Nut to change bits.
Warning:Never press the Spindle Lock button while the tool is running. Doing so is the mechanical equivalent of shifting your car into "Park" while driving on the highway. It will strip the internal gears and likely ruin the motor instantly. Develop the habit of visually checking that the switch is "OFF" and the motor has completely stopped spinning before your thumb even moves toward the lock button.
3. The Grip Zone (Ergonomic Housing)
Moving down the body, you will notice a change in texture. This is the Grip Zone. On the Customizer, this area is often rubberized or textured with a diamond pattern. This isn't just for aesthetics; it serves two functional purposes:
Vibration Damping:
The motor inside is spinning at anywhere from 10,000 to 20,000 RPM (Revolutions Per Minute).

That energy wants to transfer to your hand. The rubberized coating absorbs the high-frequency buzz, preventing the "pins and needles" sensation that leads to hand fatigue.
Control Traction:
Your hands will sweat. Between the heat of the motor and the concentration of the work, moisture is inevitable. The texture ensures that the pen doesn't rotate in your fingers, allowing you to maintain a consistent angle relative to the workpiece.
