2: New Conquest
A large ship with exotic-looking voyagers floats to the peaceful village. The farmers are amazed and afraid. The new arrivals have armour and weapons. They are here to conquer. The farmers reach for their pitchforks and get the hunting wolves ready. They lit flames, ring the village bells and hide their wives and children. They are not well prepared for an attack on the sea, but each has sharp knives and shovels at home. They are armed and ready for war. However, the people from the sea come in peace. They are hungry and have floated in the sea for two weeks without food and drink, and many of them have perished. The farmers invite them to dine in their halls, which have a sign that reads Valhalla in front of the main entrance. The servers and bartenders let the food and wine flow, and everyone is happy. A hooded stranger starts a conversation with who seems to be the leader of the sea people. The leader is clad in heavy armour, while the stranger only has a cloak and leather padded armour. They exchange news and start to talk about living together and learning from each other. They plan a new conquest.
3: Living in Peace VS Prospering in War
A new day begins and the sun is shining upon our hero. Julius reaches into his bag and takes out some coins. He takes a drink and pays the man for his information and items. Julius jumps on his horse and rides away with his new light armour and steel weapons. He is ready for war, conquest and raiding. He is an invader, a demon in his heart. A cold, calculating heart and the brains of a master strategist. They are yet untested and scream to be let a chance to be proven true. He is hungry. Julius is a fan of history and knows that history is written by the victors. He wants to write the history of his men and lead them to victory. He marches to the forum of the village and talks to his fellow villagers about the chance of a large number of riches and the art of warring states. How to take from others what they have created and grown, and how to quickly rise in power and social hierarchy. He is a great public speaker, leading with charisma and talking with a silver tongue. Julius shares his ideas and visions with the people and gets their backup for war.
4: Hell's Bells Ring
Julius rings the golden village bells, which mark conquest and war. The bells have a magical, empty yet powerful high echo. The hell's bells bring morale and determination from within and give comfort to the people. The villagers, mostly men, start preparing their equipment and building ships. It is early winter, and now is the time for sword and axe. Now is the time to take action, prepare for the new world and dream on. When summer arrives, a journey to the far future begins. And the men are ready for war.
A hawk flies in the distance, hunting prey. Just like this village. They are looking for new prey and have information on where to go hunting. Their ships are ready after four months of building, their weapons are sharpened and their armour is shining. None will fight in our stead. The hell's bells have sung their song, and the ships leave from the beach.
5: No Sleep for the Wicked
The longships hit the sand of a beach located somewhere in northern Europe. The former farmers, now warriors, tug their swords and get ready for a raid. They can see two villages, and flip a coin to which one attack first. They settle in the right village, which happens to be empty. The people of the village are partying at a summer festival in the forests far away, and their homes are left unprotected. There are a couple of dogs protecting their homes but leave swiftly with their tails between their legs. The pillaging warriors find a small church, and look in awe at the number of golden cups, candlelights and silver crosses with gemstones in them.
