Welcome to Numbers, the spreadsheet application for Mac. This book is entended to anyone who wants to discover its possibilities and advantages. While learning how to perform simple calculations, you'll discover elaborate functions to work out complex results.

You will be able to format tables and cells thanks to the properties panel. You will appreciate the filters to group information with categories. Numbers proposes lots of powerful features to print and to layout the sheets. Finally, you will discover graphics, shapes, media objects and templates.

At the time of writing this book, the operating system is MacOs Big Sur.

This book is divided into 6 chapters.

Chapter 1 details the fundamentals of the spreadsheet: row and column management, cell formatting, layout of the work frame, keyboard shortcuts, calculations, formulas and comment management.

Chapter 2 covers printing and layout techniques when previewing data.

Chapter 3 describes filters and categories that enable you to group information.

Chapter 4 shows the elaborated functions: IF, VLOOKUP, IFERROR, INDEX/MATCH, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, SUMIFS, some date functions including DATEDIF as well as the text functions.

Chapter 5 details the graphics you can insert.

Chapter 6 outlines shapes, media objects and pre-made table templates.
