With modern science, you can add a few extra years to your life!
Sofie Bakken – who, in her earlier books, has already examined Nordic lifestyle trends that de-stress – now continues her research by putting together the current scientific knowledge on what you realistically can do to live longer.
This book is not about strange theories or mystical or esoteric concepts but shows you on an up-to-date practical, scientifically backed-up approach what you can do today to increase your lifespan.

INTRODUCTION

Middle age is a very tricky part of an individual’s life. On one hand, you become fully mature and feel like you can tackle the challenges of life much better. On the other hand, you become anxious about what’s coming ahead. You start imagining what old age might feel like and the reality of death becomes clearer than ever before.

But what if the 'middle-age' according to you is not actually middle age in the modern era?  What we mean to say is, you might be getting worried sooner than you’re supposed to. Thanks to modern science and technology, it is now possible to live longer than the previous generations.

Advances in science have had a significant impact on our daily lives. Whether it is the remote-controlled operation of electronics or staying virtually connected to people all over the world, the transformation has been extraordinary. Nobody could have imagined the current standard of living a few decades ago.

Moreover, the progress seems to continue unbound in the near future. Science is rapidly evolving and creating new opportunities continuously. It almost feels like a new world is emerging, full of previously unimaginable possibilities.

One such possibility is for human beings to live longer. Based on past data and research, experts are finding new and innovative ways to extend the human lifespan. They are continuously working to find a cure for deadly diseases and conditions related to old age.
