Money & Spirit is a new spirit - a new consciousness.

It is also a new movement that is gaining worldwide attention.

While humanity has long focused exclusively on the material things, a new era is beginning to unfold. Inner wealth - and with it, the heart and love - will take the lead.

May many people open themselves to this new consciousness and this emerging movement.

That is my heartfelt wish.

Foreword

It was 25 years ago when I first became aware of Money & Spirit. Since then, this theme has accompanied me, and I've spoken about it time and again. Even back then, I was told: One day, the global economy will no longer flourish the way it once did—not because there's a lack of opportunity, but because we humans haven't treated money with enough care. We did not honor the money. We didn't appreciate it. We must learn to relate money differently.

Today I know: That time is now.

The COVID crisis revealed a great deal. Old systems are shaking. Cracks are showing in the economy. Political instability, wars, and social tensions make it painfully clear how urgently we need a new awareness—not just politically or economically, but within ourselves.

Money was never the problem.

It is a mirror of our consciousness.

And that is precisely where transformation begins: within us.

Money & Spirit is not a theory. It is a path.

A path back to something we already know deep inside: our inner truth.

When we begin to look at money not only with the mind, but also with the heart, something wonderful happens: it loses its power to frighten us. It loses its control. And it begins to flow again—in service of life.

Twenty-five years ago, the world wasn't ready.

Many people still clung to old ideas.

But today—amidst crisis and transformation—there is a growing willingness to walk new paths.

It takes courage.

It takes heart.

And it takes consciousness.

This book is an invitation to remember:

To remember your inner abundance.

To remember your worth.

To reconnect with that deep inner knowing that money is not your enemy—it is your tool.

I wish you many insights, new perspectives, and moments of inner resonance. May you discover your own loving way of relating to money—and in doing so, bring a measure of healing into the world.

Introduction

We are living in a time where money governs our lives more than ever before. For some, money means freedom, security, and self-realization. For others, it's a constant source of worry, pressure, or guilt. Many people long to be financially successful—while at the same time sensing that merely having more doesn't make them truly happy.

Maybe you know the feeling: that your bank balance matters, but something deeper inside you is calling for meaning, connection, and inner fulfillment. Maybe you're searching for a kind of prosperity that goes beyond numbers—a form of wealth that also nourishes your heart.

This book is written for people who sense that money and spirituality don't have to be opposites. For those who want to understand how outer abundance and inner growth can actually reinforce one another. For those who no longer want to view money as a burden or just a means of exchange, but rather as a tool—one that can help you unfold your potential, bring your vision to life, and live in alignment.

Money & Spirit wants to be more than just a book: it is an invitation to a movement. A movement of people who want to shape their relationship with money consciously, who are ready to heal old patterns, and who wish to co-create a new culture of togetherness—a culture rooted in appreciation, mindfulness, and responsibility.

Here you will find pathways for dissolving limiting beliefs and developing a mindset that welcomes abundance on all levels—material, emotional, and spiritual. Reflection prompts, exercises, and inspirations will help you gradually cultivate your own sense of abundance—beyond scarcity thinking or compulsive consumption.

Perhaps this book will mark a beginning for you.

A beginning to see money through new eyes.

A beginning to regard yourself with greater compassion, clarity, and self-worth.

A beginning to connect with others who walk this path with you.

Money & Spirit encourages you to become part of a growing community. A community that sees money not just as a means to an end, but as a reflection of our values—and as an opportunity to shape the world with more awareness and love.

I wish that the following pages inspire you.

That they give you the courage to walk your own path—a path where money becomes an expression of your true values, and Spirit your inner compass.

And that you discover how much power lives in a shared vision.

Chapter 1 - Money as Energy

When we think of money, we usually picture something concrete: coins, bills, account statements, maybe a payslip or a credit card. We tend to view money as something material—something we can own, lose, multiply, or distribute.

But money is much more than a means of payment.

Money is energy.

It is a symbol, a carrier of meaning, and a projection screen for our desires, fears, and longings.

1.1 The History of Money - From Trade to Energy

Long before coins or banknotes existed, people exchanged goods and services directly: a sack of grain for a sheep, craftsmanship for food. Later, the first forms of currency emerged—shells, precious metals, minted coins.

Over time, money evolved into a universal promise:

"This piece of paper represents value that you can exchange for something else."

So money was always a collective agreement—a shared trust in a system.

Today, much of our money exists only digitally. Numbers move across the globe in fractions of a second.

If you look closely, money is an abstract concept—it only works because we believe in it.

And it is this trust that gives money its enormous energy.

Money becomes a kind of life current that flows through all areas of society: work, consumption, education, health, culture.

1.2 Money is Neutral

Many people charge money with negative or positive meanings. Some see it as the root of all evil, others as the ultimate proof of success.

Some believe only lots of money can make you free, while others fundamentally mistrust it.

But in its essence, money is neutral. It is neither good nor bad. It simply amplifies what's already there.

In the hands of a loving person, money can help bring good into the world.

In the hands of a greedy person, it can cause harm.

In the hands of a fearful person, it can fuel pressure and worry.

When you begin to see money as energy—a neutral force you can consciously direct—your perspective begins to shift. You are no longer a victim of external circumstances, but a creator of your own reality.

1.3 Money as a Mirror

Money reveals much about how we see ourselves and life. It reflects:

Our beliefs ("I don't deserve more." / "Rich people are unethical.")

Our self-worth ("I am worthy of receiving abundance.")

Our fears ("It's never enough." / "I could lose everything.")

Take a moment to reflect:

What feelings arise when you think about money?

What stories did you learn about money—from your parents, teachers, or society?

Which of your beliefs do you want to question?

When you realize that money is not just a fixed, impersonal object, but a form of energy that responds to your inner attitude, a new field of possibility opens up.

You can learn to align this energy with your values and your vision.

In the next chapter, we'll take a closer look at how deeply money is connected to our emotions—and why it so often triggers shame, fear, or overwhelm.

Chapter 2 - Money and Emotions

Money touches our deepest feelings.

Few things provoke such immediate reactions as a look at our bank account, a conversation about salary, or the question of how much something "should" cost.

You may have experienced it yourself: money can surface emotions like shame, envy, fear—or joy.

Often, these feelings are unconscious.

But they influence our behavior in powerful ways.

In this chapter, we'll explore how money and emotions are intertwined—and how you can strengthen your inner compass in dealing with them.

2.1 Money - An Invisible Trigger

If money were truly neutral, why do couples argue about it? Why do some people feel superior because they have more, while others feel small?

The answer lies in the emotions we project onto money. Money becomes a trigger:
