Most of your time is dedicated to your patients. Besides, you attend a lot of specialty meetings throughout the year. You usually enjoy the academic stimulation and continuing to learn as well as the camaraderie with other professionals, and you are happy to share your experience with colleagues. Medical writing is by no means easy. It takes a tremendous amount of time, effort and sometimes funding. Nevertheless, the effort is worth it both for your own sense of satisfaction but, more importantly, to advance the body of medical knowledge.

The importance of diabetes management is related to an increased body of publications on this topic. Many new journals have been launched in recent years, and this has increased the request for medical articles, together with the avenues to have your work published.
