If, after reading this book, you would like to give your life to Jesus, then please Say these words out loud, Dear God, I believe that Jesus died, so that I can be forgiven. I admit that I have done wrong things and not lived my life how you want me to. I'm sorry.
 
Please forgive me and come into my life to help me live your way. From this moment on, I want to follow Jesus' example and join other Christians In serving you and other people. Amen.
 
Now go and tell three other people that you have given your life to the one who Gave up His life for you, then I pray that you are led to a spirit filled church, where You can grow in the safety, security and knowledge of our Lord. May God bless you, always.

Foreword

Spirit in the Wind is my second book which was written straight after my first

published book, Descending Dove.

These poems are again deeply personal, given by God through His Holy Spirit

And are a continuation of the Christian path on which I walk.

I am so blessed to be able to write this second book and hope that you will be as

Blessed by reading the words God gave me, as I was in receiving them, writing them

Down and putting them together in this second collection of poetry.

If just one person is helped by this book, if just one person is moved into a deeper

relationship with our Lord, and if just one person is led to Jesus through this

Book, then every hour, every spot of ink, and every piece of paper used was worth it.

Thank you, Lord for Everything.

Dedication

I forget, sometimes, how little time has elapsed since I gave my life to Him.

I forget, sometimes, that I was once a diamond in the rough, waiting to be cut,

Polished and set in place by Him.

I forget, sometimes, that I was sad, down hearted and inward looking, whilst

Waiting for Him.

I forget, sometimes, that I was chosen, am so loved and so grateful to be where

I am, because of Him.

Because of all these things and so much more besides, I dedicate this book to

The Turnaround

You turned this cup of water,

This still, cold water,

Into rich, red wine,

The fruit of your vine.

You turned this old wineskin,

This wrinkled, leathery old wineskin,

Into a new, fresh, vessel, so fine,

To pour in the fruit of your vine.

You turned this broken piece of clay,

A potsherd, a dull, broken container,

Into a beautiful, radiant shine,

That holds the fruit of your vine.

AMEN.

Fresh Start

Our past experiences,

Cycles of behavior,

Deeply held fears,

Compulsive acts,

All play a huge part in who we are,

All we hold dear,

All we hold true,

Stopping us moving forward,

Stopping us moving in the spirit.

Minds become darkened,

Truths are exchanged for lies,

We find ourselves powerless,

In the struggle of never-ending cause and effect,

But why listen to lies,

Why hold onto these untruths,

You can break the cycle,

Of fear, worry, turmoil and regret.

Take off the old and put on the new,

Become a new creation,

You can have a fresh start,

You can be forgiven,

By putting on the mantle of praise,

The amour of God,

The assurance of being saved,

Through the love of Jesus,

He who lives inside us,

When we invite Him in.

AMEN.

Shine On Me Jesus

Shine on me Jesus,

Shine your holy light,

Shine on me Jesus,

Shine your light so bright.

Shine on me Jesus,

Let me see your glory,

Shine on me Jesus,

Let me tell your story.

Shine on me Jesus,

Shine like the sun,

Shine on me Jesus,

Let me be a holy one.

Shine on me Jesus,

Shine bright like a star,

Shine on me Jesus,

Show the world who you are.

Shine on me Jesus,

Let me shine as you,

Shine on me Jesus,

Cut the darkness in two.

Shine on me Jesus,

Let this little light shine,

Let me guide the lost,

Back to you and thine.

The Journey

Guided by my Father,

His hand on the rudder,

Jesus in the boat with me,

This journey is like no other.

Jesus is the wise one,

He speaks to me all day,

Jesus in the boat with me,

This journey will not delay.

The Holy Spirit is the wind in my sail,

He guides me at every turn,

Jesus in the boat with me,

This journey is what I must learn.

The three that are with me constantly,

In this boat, this ship, this vessel,

They are sailing along with me,

This journey is uniquely special.

AMEN.

The Vine

I in you and you in me,

You give me all I need,

You are the vine,

I am the branch,

Together we make the tree.

As you feed me,

So, I grow,

My branch spreads and bowers,

I mature and leaf,

My branch buds and brings forth flowers.

You soak up God’s power,

You give it to me,

As I drink and grow,

My blossom bears fruit,

The seeds then scatter as I sow.

The seeds spread,

Then germination,

Seedlings sprout,

A new plant,

A new season begins with jubilation.

The cycle repeats,
