Introduction

Howbeit when he, the spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth; For he shall not speak of himself but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; and he will show you things to come. John 16:13

The Holy Spirit is the greatest teacher. For he is so dependable & reliable whenever we seek him for knowledge and direction about what is required of us as individuals & as a couple, to do in other for us to live a better and much-fulfilled life.

I so depend on him to enable me to write this book, as he reveals to us page after page, our duties & responsibilities as individuals and as a couple in building a peaceful, happy & loving home.

For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus towards us all, who are called according to his love, mercies & grace.

As you go through the pages of this book, I pray your heart gets enlightened by the light of his word and I pray his presence awakens in you, the true nature of a husband, as his grace enables you to manifest and perform your godly duties and responsibilities towards your family for a better life to the glory of His name and to the shame of the devil in Jesus name, Amen!

CHAPTER ONE

 KNOW THE COMMAND

Let me begin by saying that success in marriage is not by experience but by light( light from God's word). I mean no disrespect to the elderly by saying this but truth is, success in marriage can only be achieved by the revelation of God's word and complete obedience to it.

You can be married for twenty years but yet beat your wife. It's not about experience but about light, from God's word. Knowing what to do, how to do and when to do what you ought to do according to scriptural instructions concerning marriage, brings about unending success in marriage and this my friends is by "Light".

Husband's love your wives, just as Christ loves the church and gave himself for it.   Eph 5:25

It is the duty and responsibility of a husband to love his wife. For the scriptures cannot be broken.

It is not optional but a must do ( compulsory requirement) for a better & healthy relationship.

Until we learn to completely obey God's instructions and do what he commands, we can never achieve his divine purpose and desired plans for our lives as individuals and as a family.

There is also what to do as a woman in building a godly, peaceful & happy home but our focus in this book is on how to become a husband. 

The fact that you are a man doesn't make you a husband and the fact that you are married doesn't make you one either. There are alot of married men but few husband's out there in the society today . What makes you a husband is your simple obedience to God's instruction concerning marriage. 

Jesus said, if you love me, obey my command. John 14:15

The commandment of God is for our benefit, speedy growth, and progress of our lives. Our obedience or disobedience to his instructions does not add or subtract anything from him but from us. For he remains the " I AM that I AM"

irrespective of our choices or decisions.

So many home's are faced with numerous challenges and chaotic situations

today because many are living in ignorance (which is the devil's will), while a great number of us have failed to simply realize that obedience to Gods instruction is the gateway to a better life.

We can not continue to do what we want in life and expect positive change in our homes when we choose to ignore Gods instructions due to the traditions or beliefs of men.Jesus asked the scribes and Pharisees, " why do ye also transgress the

commandments of God by your tradition? Matt15:3

Until we make Gods word the foundation of our lives and the only source of each and every of our counsel, by searching scriptures and ignoring the traditions( ideas, philosophy & belief) of men, we will never find the peace, joy, and happiness God had ordained for every home.

For if they obey and serve him, they will spend their days in prosperity and their years in pleasure...  Job 34:11
