One evening I visited my sister Ria Gorret whose baby Gogy was sick. The doctors had said that he had an infection which they couldn’t examine and ascertain with accuracy. The problem here was not examining the infection but rather a question as to why a baby born so well without any problem fall sick and suddenly dies within 24hours. Why does it happen mostly to the first born? Is it caused by the father or the mother? Could it be the polluted air we breathe?
There have been instant deaths in infants all around the world. The issue I am presenting here is not about death during birth, but it is about how many die after birth. It hurts to loose someone after you have done every good deed for him for the betterment of his life and future hardships to come.
Think about it this way, after carrying a baby for nine months, after taking all the medicines, after wearing loose outfits, after shopping for him and finally thereafter someone tells you the baby has died in two days. What the heck is this? Believe me or not this book is about you, it is for you the youth planning for a baby, it is for you a mother and father of a four hourly baby and lastly to you a doctor operating in the maternity ward. It is a call for you and me to do something about this infection.
