Sanatan Dharma, the Eternal Dharma, it stands,
An alternative name for Hinduism, across the lands.
The third-largest religion, in the world expands,
Sanatan Dharma, a way of life, in our hands.
This Dharma, with many beliefs, it bands,
Various practices, traditions, life's strands.
Based on the idea of Karma, as it commands,
Every action has a consequence, as it demands.
The concept of reincarnation, at its core,
Holds that the Atma is eternal, forevermore.
Leaves the body after death, to explore,
And dons another body, as folklore.
Brahman, an infinite ocean, Atma, a wave within,
Ocean and waves, a unity, akin.
One and the same, in reality's din,
Brahman and Atma, a oneness, therein.
Sanatan Dharma, with gods, goddesses aplenty,
Each with unique attributes, qualities plenty.
Sacred texts like Vedas, Upanishads, Gita, entry,
Impacting society, with wisdom sentry.
Sanatan Dharma, the world's oldest religion,
Originated in India, with ancient vision.
A complex system of beliefs, with precision,
Covers religion, culture, practices, with decision.
Sanatan Dharma, an all-inclusive path,
Teaches the four Purusarthas, in its wrath.
Dharma (ethics, duties), Artha (prosperity), in its bath,
Kama (desires), Moksha (liberation), its aftermath.
Dharma, the most important belief, in life's rally,
Leads to Moksha, liberation from life's alley.
If Dharma neglected for Artha and Kama, tally,
Then life becomes chaotic, Moksha, a finale.
Sanatan Dharma personifies reincarnation,
One Being with many manifestations, a sensation.
Law of cause and effect, that's Karma, in relation,
Desire for liberation from cycle of birth, rebirth, a station.
Sanatan Dharma, a call to righteousness,
Engaging in spiritual practices, yoga, bhakti, no less.
Sacred writings of two types, no guess,
Shruti (heard) and Smriti (memorized), a press.
Its basic thought – The world is one family,
And all should be carried together, in amity.
In temples’ incense-laden air,
Sanatana Dharma’s truths declare:
From Himalayan peaks to distant shore,
Its ancient wisdom forevermore.
No single founder, no rigid creed,
Yet unity in diversity we heed.
For every soul, a sacred kin,
In Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam we begin.
The smallest ant, the sage so wise,
All bear the spark that never dies.
“No one superior, none inferior,” they say,
Brothers and sisters on life’s cosmic way.
Responsibility rests upon our hearts,
To honor worth in every part.
Thoughts, words, deeds—a sacred art,
In kindness, truth, and love, we chart.
Om sarve bhavantu sukhinah we chant,
May joy and health in every heart implant.
Pluralism blooms, a fragrant vine,
In myriad paths, the Divine align.
Ekam sat vipraha, the ancient seers knew,
Truth’s facets sparkle, a kaleidoscope view.
Names may differ, yet essence remains,
In unity’s dance, humanity gains.
In sacred texts and temple halls,
Hindu wisdom echoes through time’s walls.
Paths to the Divine, diverse and wide,
No single way, no rigid guide.
“To each their truth,” the sages say,
No dogma binds, no narrow sway.
Proselytize not, for hearts unfold,
In freedom’s dance, all souls behold.
Across vast ages, lands untold,
Hindus tread lightly, hearts of gold.
Never conquest in religion’s name,
Peace blooms where pluralism came.
Around world’s shores, a testament true,
Unity’s embrace, prosperity grew.
Hindu brand of love, like fragrant rain,
Nurtured coexistence, erased pain.

श्रीपरमात्मने न्मः
Shriparamatmane nmah
Greet the east at dawn or when the sun is high,
Bid the west hello as the day begins to die;
On a mat of purity, sit with calm and ease,
Perform the 'Tilak' with a mind at peace.
After reciting the mantra given below earnestly,
Do sprinkle some water on your very own body.
ॐ अपवित्रः पवित्रो वा सर्वावस्थां गतोऽपि वा ।
यः स्मरेत्पुण्डरीकाक्षं स बाह्याभ्यन्तरः शुचिः ॥
Aum apavitrah pavitro va sarvavasthaan gato’pi va

In the realm of the sacred, the symbol 'ॐ' does reside,
Impure or pure, in all states, it's a guide.
Whether you've traversed every path, high and low,
Or stayed in one place, letting life's river flow.
Remember the lotus-eyed one, in thought, word, and deed,
And find yourself cleansed, in both inner and outer creed.
No matter the state in which one may exist,
Unclean or clean, in life's every twist,
Whoever recalls the Lord with the lotus gaze,
Finds purity within, and in outward ways.
With resolve, take water in your right hand,
State the year, month, date, gotra, like a command.
Speak your name, add 'Sharman' if a Brahman you be,
'Verma' for Kshatriya, and 'Gupta' for Vaishya, you see.
