The words in this booklet were addressed to us by a Higher Consciousness. Whether this was a Master, the Inner Self, or another Helper of Humanity — this is left to every reader’s intuition to find out.
Being an imperative call for the active demonstration of all that ennobles and uplifts, we supposed that much of what was given to us might help others.
Hence, we selected from our teachings the more impersonal ones and arranged them into the chapters of this book.
The quick exhaustion of the first edition, the scores of appreciative letters received by the publishers, the early requests for foreign editions — these have proven that it is answering the purpose with which it was sent out: to “awaken” many.
May it evermore be read, and its precepts be scrupulously applied by all under whose eyes it comes.

Wake up, all you who are in pain and sorrow — and
Awaken!
Awaken, O children of the New Humanity, and see and realize your glorious destiny.
Wake up from your dullness and indifference — and use your powers.
Fill your hearts with love for one another and live a life of oneness and unity.
Realize your possibilities now — and follow the Voice of Our Great Helper.
We need all who can respond to His call.
All who belong to Him must wake up from their useless dreams of good-for-nothing, petty, selfish desires.
Everyone must realize their place in the work of helping all that are in darkness and ignorance. Help to lift their consciousness to the realization of the power of good and make them see the great responsibility of this Divine message.
We, the Masters of the Wisdom, are pleading to be heard.
We need you — We need all.
O, that all would wake up and help Him, the Great Lord of the World — and help Us in the tremendous work for which the whole of humankind is waiting!
The note is sounded.
