Dear Reader,
More than a decade ago, I had a big question: What will my life be like in the future and how much I can influence that? I wanted to know what would happen in two years, or five years, or even twenty years. This question was a challenge for me, as I imagine it is for everyone, but I decided to face it.
I started a journey of learning and self-discovery. I read a wide range of books on personal development, spirituality, and psychology, attended seminars, and did numerous self-experiments in the area of personal growth. I discovered that the world is full of wonder when you begin to perceive it differently.
The most important thing I have learned is that if I want to change my life, I need to begin by changing myself. This aligns with Mahatma Gandhi’s famous quote, ‘Be the change you wish to see in the world,’ which has been my life motto ever since.
And now, after so many years and so many people asking me to write something down for them, I made this book. It is a collection of 92 pieces of advice from some of the brightest minds in the world, currated by me. I named this book “Best You.”
You don’t need to read “Best You” all at once, quite the opposite, just flip through it. When you find a piece of advice that speaks to you, stop and read it. Each piece of advice has a short explanation to remind you ‘why’ this advice is a good one and some practical ideas to help you use it in your life.
Even one piece of advice can make a big difference in your life. See each piece of advice as a starting point because, as you may know, you could write a whole book just about each one. This book is meant to give you quick inspiration, a motivational kick, or just remind you about things you might want to improve or change.
So, what makes ‘Best You’ special? It’s you. Everyone begins their journey of personal development from a unique starting point and needs the right inspiration. Maybe ‘Best You’, with its special style and approach, could be that inspiration for you. It might connect with you and motivate you to work on the areas you want to improve.
I wrote this book with the heartfelt desire to make a positive impact on others. My hope is that it motivates and inspires you to become the best version of you, and create a brighter world for everyone.
