Prologue

Every human beings on earth has their own brain.

Even at this moment, your life is changing little by little, depending on how you think and how you act about what happens around you.

All of these decisions are made in the brain, after all the brain is the organ that determines each life.

Although it is such an important brain, unfortunately, the mechanism, role, principle of operation, and treatment of the brain itself are not well known and taught in few places.

Human beings don't know their own brains well, so even if they want to be happy, they are hard to be happy and even if they want to be comfortable, but they are constantly under stress.

The human brain, the most complex and greatest product on Earth,

This book provides specific instructions on how it works, how it is treated, and how it can be used more effectively and how to be happier.

I am sure this book will lead you to a new dimension.

1. The Greatest Product on Earth

The human brain is a product of evolution.

Just as the human liver and heart have become what they are now through a great deal of evolution the human brain has done the same.

If you are asked what your liver or your heart does, you can easily give an answer.

However, it is not easy for us to do so when asked the same question about our brain.

Then what is the brain? Is it merely an organ for thought?

Or is it actually what makes ‘me’, ’me’?

The problem is, we may live just fine without knowing exactly how our heart circulates the blood or how our liver detoxifies our body, but because our lives are changed by how we think and how we act, the brain is the most important organ that determines life after all.

However, while most things that exist in the world can be understood through experimentation or research, it is not easy to experiment on or research the brain itself.

Even though we have an uncountable amount of information stored, knowledge that we can recall and utilize instantaneously in our brains, and this has been increasing ever since our birth, we were never taught how the brain actually works, how to maintain it, or how to cure its illnesses.

There are approximately 7.6 billion people on Earth, each with a brain, slowly shaping their lives with a decision or decisions for any given situation.

And even at this moment, your thoughts and choices are changing your life little by little.

In all of our lives happiness and unhappiness intersect due to the choices you have made.

The brain, which so important to us, is the most complicated, yet the greatest product on Earth.

2. Current Civilization is the Result of The Human Brain

From an evolutionary perspective, humans have achieved a level of civilization that no other earthly beings have even approximated in an amazingly short period of time.

Every part of this great civilization that surrounds us today comes from the human brain:

the artistic architecture present in all corners of the world, inventions, such as electronics, that make our lives easier, vehicles such as automobiles and planes that eliminate the problem of location, the Internet that we can use to share our thoughts with others, and non-material things such as languages, laws, theories, and social systems that have been assimilated by various different cultures over time.

Whether it’s from the brain of a person born before you or after you, dead or living, everything all started from the ideas in a human brain.

In other words, nobody could argue the fact that every civilization in the world has been crafted by the human brain.

So, then let’s take a look at this world.

Are you happy at the moment?

Do you feel this world is worth living in?

Although some are feeling happy right now, most people feel more dissatisfaction than satisfaction.

It is plain to see that this world has more people in pain than enjoying happiness.

Why are we typically unhappy, rather than being happy, when technology is more advanced than ever, and our civilization is achieving feats that could not be dreamed of by any other earthly beings?

Our civilization has even achieved the creation of AI (artificial intelligence).

We certainly eat better and live better than before, so why is it harder to live?

Why are you more and more unhappy and stressed every day, rather than happy and relaxed, even though there are enough elements to allow this?

3. The Human Brain is Still Evolving

The average human sight ranges from 2.0 to -2.0, but there is no problem with the process of ‘seeing’ itself.

In other words, the eye does not have any basic functional problems, such as a screen which has become blurred.

Of course, you could suffer from cataracts and not be able to see when you’re old.

However, this is a typical problem caused by aging, but the eye itself has evolved into a form most fitting for modern day humans, after a long evolutionary period.

Ultimately it seems safe to say that the eye’s evolution has been completed.

Let’s look at another example- What about the heart?

Throughout our lifetime we do not have worries such as “what if my heart stops all of a sudden”, or “what if my heart stops just because I skip a meal?”.

Even though situations may increase or decrease the rate of its beating, the function of the heart itself is almost perfect.

If necessary, some people can have an artificial heart, or a pacemaker implanted but fundamentally the heart is another product of a long period of evolution.

In the end, the heart can also be said to have finished its evolution.

Then what about our brains?

Is the human brain flawless and always stable?

Is it maintaining a constant state?

Does the head not ache, or have any other problems?

Almost nobody would say they have a problem- free brain.

It is not easy to avoid stress, no matter how much we would like to, even for a moment.

Why is that so?

As mentioned earlier, the brain is the mastermind behind the creation of all civilizations on Earth.

What the brain designed and put into practice has been projected upon nearly every corner of this planet.

So, this world reflects our brain; it is a mirror so to speak.

This civilization, as great it may be, is still largely in a state of chaos and anomie; this is largely due to the fact that many people are trying to change the world, some for the better.

Ultimately the human brain is still not done evolving.

Understanding this fact is a vitally important key to understanding the human brain.

Indeed, just as the world is, the human brain is still in a state of chaos.

Our brain is constantly changing and it is far from being complete.

Anyone who lives in this world- old or young, great or not, rich or poor-has, a brain that is incomplete, and that is still evolving.

4. The Secret Behind Human Stress

Stress happens nonstop within our brains.

Why is that its nature, and why does it happen?

Humans experience many kinds of pain as they progress through life.

From papercuts to hunger, catching a cold, sexual frustration, irritation, conflict, dissatisfaction, sadness, or loneliness, we face various types of pain.

From a brain visual point of view, we can divide the various kinds of pain we face daily into two forms.

It can be categorized according to whether the starting point of the pain is in the body or in the mind.

Being hungry, catching a cold, and sexual desires are emotional pains that begins with the body, and irritation, conflict, and loneliness are pains that begin not in the body, but only mentally.

The pain that comes from the body is something you can solve.

If you are hungry, you will have to eat, if you catch a cold, you will need to take medicine, and if you feel sexual desire, you will have to resolve it.

The problem is the mentally initiated pain.

I will call it ‘stress’- the concept as a whole.

Situations like not having money to eat a nice or expensive meal that we want, failing a test, being stuck in a traffic jam, unemployment, experiencing unrequited love- these are all times when we feel stressed.

Hunger and sexual desire are not truly stresses; they are reflections of bodily needs.

But not having the money when you want to eat a delicious meal, or lacking the ability to date a girl or guy you want so badly- these are stresses.

If you look up the word 'stress' in the dictionary,
