This book titled ‘Be encouraged’ is one to read in 21- days. For there are 21 encouragement chapters. According to what neuroscientists are telling us, it takes 21- days to turn a negative thought into a positive thought. It is also said that it takes 21- days to create a new habit. When I see the number 21 immediately my mind goes to Daniel chapter 10:12,13,14:
Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for, from the first day that you set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”
Here the angel tells Daniel that it took him twenty-one days before he could come with the answer. All because of a demonic force named the prince of the kingdom of Persia who withstood the angel, who hindered the angel from coming to Daniel. He even had to receive help from Michael, one of the chief princes. Although this is in the Old Testament, where Daniel did not have the authority to bind the demonic force and command it to go, we now have the authority to do so, according to Luke 10:19. Still, I felt impressed to write this 21 -day devotional.
How to go about this 21- day devotional:
Every chapter has, besides the encouragement, also a prayer section along with it. You can fill in your name or initials within the prayer section, making it more personal when speaking these out loud. Some even have an assignment that you can choose to do; you can find these below the prayer as an extra note.
When a specific chapter speaks to you, you can also read that same chapter again until you feel satisfied. If not, you can read it for 21 days straight, and I just know something will shift and change in your mind, heart, and life.
Check how you feel on the inside at the beginning of reading this book and if you want, write it down. So you can track and see your improvements while reading this to-do book.
Be encouraged!
Do you know why you can believe and have faith? As in complete trust, confidence for the things you have asked for in your life according to God's will? It is because Jesus cried out and said; "It is finished!” He said this on the cross!
Well, what is precisely finished? Everything you and I should ever need, be it; emotional, physical, social, spiritual, or material. He came to give you life and give it more and abundantly. This means in large quantities, plentifully and overflowing. So everything you and I need is already finished, already accomplished, and already completed. Now we need to begin and SEE things finished. Speak it finished! For example, if you are married and desire children and you have taken the Word and stand upon it, believe it with your whole heart! Start mixing the Word with faith. Then start SEEING yourself holding a baby, see yourself pregnant and happy, call yourself a good parent, speak to your womb to be filled with a baby.
If it is in the financial area and you are in debt -no matter how high the debt- then you start SEEING your debt reduced to zero and paid in full. See your bank account filled to the fullest, see your income raised or your business flourished. Speak the debt finished and brought to an endcompleted. See that Jesus paid the price already and hereby making you debt-free. Speak yourself wealthy and prosperous, financially free, stable, and independent no matter the area of your struggle, problem, or whatever the name is of your negative situation or sickness. Also, it does not matter how long you have this problem: It is finished! It is finished! It is finished!
You are made in His image and likeness, so as He spoke, you DO the same. As He saw things in His imagination and vision, you DO the same.
Speak to what is empty to be full, speak the problems to be removed, even if it is a stalker -someone badgering you- see yourself free from that person, speak and say; "It is finished with this stalking and badgering me, your time is up.” When it is sickness, whatever the name is, speak and say to it; “…. You are finished, sick days you are over, healthy days you have come for me by the stripes of Jesus I was healed.” See yourself healed; see yourself walking, jumping, eating, doing whatever you could not do.
Apply these things to your personal life, situations, and SEE. Speak things change for the best.

Jesus finished it all for me, so all things are possible for me who believes. I believe that [name your problem/situation] is finished in Jesus name and I am happy married/ extremely healthy/forever debt-free and financially wealthy/a happy parent of healthy children/successful and exceedingly prosperous in Jesus name now.
I see myself as such amen!
When writing about angels, I am not talking about the twilight zone or something airy-fairy, as many people tend to think of. In the book of Psalms 91:11, it says; no evil shall befall me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling because we make the Lord our refuge and dwelling place. He has given His angels -who are His messengers, guardians, and agents of God- charge over us. They keep us in all our ways, bear us up in their hands, lest we dash our foot against a stone.
These angels of God can do things we cannot do and also very strong. They are the ones assisting us because they are assigned to help. So Psalm 91:11 is a God-given promise that never loses its power and always works when we believe it with our whole heart and mix it with faith.
When we speak it, yet sometimes it does not look like it is working. Why is that? Sometimes we do things our own way and think we can fix things by ourselves. We then actually leave our refuge and dwelling place, which is God. This can quickly happen through our own words. We may start complaining, speaking the negative things. For example, when in a crisis situation, we call friends or 911 for help first. We run to doctors and lawyers to help us. We may even tend to our own feelings and emotions and vent them. These are normal human reactions in our natural lives. Still, we are not only natural anymore when we made Christ Jesus our Lord! We are now of God! So instead of turning away from Him and running to others and different natural things as the first thing, you do when crises hit, just stay put and don't leave that dwelling place. Take that place of refuge by calling upon Him FIRST and SPEAK out His Word. Then these angels of God respond to and listen to His Word.
We speak, and the angels are activated to work on our behalf, excelling in strength on our behalf, doing His Word on our behalf;
His Word out of our mouth becomes their pleasures and
commandments. They start accompanying you and do according to the Word spoken.
Let me give you a little testimony:
One night when my youngest son came home from a party, he told me he lost his wallet with everything in it; money, cards, etc. Mind you, it was already night-time! I was tired and not too happy with the whole situation. In the natural, this would cost me money, time, and strength if we did not find this wallet. I first asked the Holy Spirit for guidance in this situation in all of this. I stopped the lying serpent trying to give me all kinds of negative scenarios in my mind. After this, I spoke and said: "Angels of God keep all the items and the wallet safe, stand around the wallet, protect it and bring it back to us!" That night we did not recover it but went to bed and slept peacefully. The next day, it was found, and when we retrieved it, everything was still in the wallet; thank you, Lord!
I can tell you testimony after testimony, but that's a different book. You too can have this angelic assistance; it is always available!
Be encouraged……..
Speak out the prayer
I dwell in the secret place of the most High. I abide under the shadow of the Almighty. He is my Refuge, my Fortress. In Him, I put my trust. No evil befalls me nor shall any plague come nigh my dwelling for you have given your angels charge over me. To keep me in all my ways, to protect me, to help me, and to bear me up in your hands. So I don’t dash my foot against a stone, in Jesus name!
Note:
These angels of God listen to His Word, and they, on their turn, hear, listen to everything you say. So it is essential to speak God's Word and positive things over yourself and life for them to be activated on your behalf. When you complain or speak negative things, there is not much they can do. It is like you tie up their hands. Watch and keep track this whole day if you complain or speak His Word in your life.
In the book of Judges, we can read about a man named Samson. He was so strong that he tore lions apart with his bare hands. And he defeated the enemy in his time named the Philistines single handily. Yet, he had a weakness: a love for women or harlots. But this is not the part of the story we are going to focus on.
One day Samson was with a woman named Delilah. What he did not know was that the enemy, the Philistines, enticed her. She needed to find out where his strength came from for them to render Samson powerless against them. Delilah started pestering Samson daily with her words and pressed him until his soul was vexed to death. Pretty intense, right? Because of this, Samson eventually revealed his secret to Delilah….The strength of Samson laid in the seven locks of hair he had on his head. After Delilah heard this, she lulled him to sleep, let the enemy in who shaved his head and his strength was gone, it left him. The Philistines then imprisoned him and even plucked out his eyes.
Let me insert this here: there are many of us destined for greatness. They are called to do amazing stuff in our lifetime, but because of a weakness or depression, rejection, sickness, poverty, or whatever the problem hitting us, we never get to step into our God-given destiny. Then it is as if our heads are shaved, and we are figuratively imprisoned. Our eyes are plucked out, so we cannot see the big plans God has for our life anymore. We stop dreaming and having a vision, similar to Samson in this story. Yet this is NOT the end of the story, for his hair started growing again. This was a small fact that the Philistines forgot about. One day, when the Philistines had a big event in their temple with all of the famous and significant people of their land, they sent for Samson to have a bit of a laugh about him as entertainment.
So they put him in the middle between two pillars. As they were partying, Samson started talking to God. He asked Him to give him strength one more time. Then he placed his hands on the two pillars of the temple and pushed with all his might, and the whole temple fell. That's why we now say that Samson killed more of the enemy at his death than when he was alive.
Are you the laughing stock of the enemy? Put on as entertainment? Are you laughed at because you have no strength? Is it difficult to' see' your future? Do not worry, fear, or stress because your ‘hair’ will grow again. In this new covenant, you can do all things through Christ Jesus, who gives you strength. So strength has never left you! Just command it back into physical manifestation. Start seeing again for the entrance of God's Word giveth Light. Step out of that ‘prison’ because who the Son sets free is free indeed! You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you. It's easy for you to conquer the weakness, depression, sickness, poverty and go to fulfill your God-given destiny; your story is not over yet!

Where I am weak, I say I am strong. I have a spirit of power, love and I have a sound mind, as I am God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus. I am bold as a lion. Strength I command you back, weakness, depression, sickness, poverty I command you out of my life. I step out of this 'prison,' my eyes see again, and my 'hair' grows again now. I am a success and fulfill my purpose In Jesus' name amen.
Note:
I am strong
I am restored
I am healthy
I am rich
Make your list and speak them over yourself as much as you can.
Apostle Paul talked about theleast qualified in the book of Ephesians chapter three, verse eight. He wrote that he was the least qualified, unsuitable, unfit, and unskilled compared to the other apostles. This apostle Paul whose name means humble, was first called Saul. He was anti- Jesus, anti-Christ. He raided with others houses of Christians and brought them to jail, persecuted them, and even gave approval of the murder of Stephen. Yet Jesus Himself chose Paul to preach and write over things that were way over his head. Guess what?! This Paul becomes one of the essential Christian apostles, and he wrote the largest part of the New Testament.
Now let’s go back a bit to the Old Testament, namely the story of a woman named Ruth, a Moabite. She was married to Mahlon, who was a son of Elimelech and Naomi. Soon this Elimelech died, and Mahlon as well. Because of this, Ruth's mother-in-law Naomi decides to go back to her land Israel, to the city of Bethlehem. This means house of bread. Ruth makes the choice to go with Naomi. This was not an easy choice. For Ruth had to leave all that she had, family, friends, heritage, land and follow the God of Naomi in Bethlehem. Ruth had everything against her. First off, she was a Moabite, and they did not like Moabites. Secondly, she was a widow. Thirdly she was poor, but the God of Israel, the God of Naomi, changed Ruth’s whole story. In Ruth's story, we can read how she was redeemed by the man Boaz who married her. This man happened to be one of the richest man and a relative of Naomi. Ruth and Boaz got a son who they named Obed. Through this, Ruth is within the family lineage of king David and Jesus!
This story, as well as that of Paul, is such a great encouragement to us.
We have proof that no matter our background, what we have done wrong, financial status, even though you are a widower or widow, divorced, single, single parent in short, whatever disqualifies you with
the God of Israel, with Jesus, your entire story can change for the best! Although very different stories, Paul and Ruth became significant people after they made Jesus their Lord, the God of Israel their God.
We now read and talk about them. You can be the next person we will read and talk about after you make Jesus your Lord, Papa God your God. They will take your life to the next level putting all the negative into positive.
Be encouraged….

Thank you, Jesus, that I am accepted in the beloved. That I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me and no matter my background, where I am from, what I’ve done, if I am poor, young or old, educated or not. Jesus, You qualified me now. I am more than a champion; I am a new creation. Old things have passed away. All things have become new for me. I am happy and prosperous in my life in Jesus' name, amen.
Note:
See yourself differently, see yourself as an overcomer, see yourself successful because you are!
We live in a time where people are visualizing and attracting things they want to manifest. These are just some of the trendy terms with ‘the law of attraction’ movement. Maybe you have heard of it. Or you came across ‘the Secret’ by a movie or book, which is this law explained. Yet, it all has to do with people having a vision and walking towards it. When we go back to the book of Genesis, chapter one in the Old Testament, we find the first and greatest visionary who manifested and created the heavens and the earth. Who made even you and me. Here, God, Himself shows us how He did this all. The difference is, He never made a secret of it, but it is plain for everyone to see.
First, in Genesis chapter one verse two, we read that the earth was:
a. without form
b. void
c. dark
The Spirit of God was hovering, slightly going to and fro, lingering about over the face of the waters. Hence, the earth was abnormal and unstructured. It was completely empty with the total absence of Light, as in gloomy and grim. The funny thing is that God Himself never mentioned this to the Holy Spirit and never spoke about the negative. He never uttered a word about the earth being without form, void, and dark. Even though He saw it, He did not ignore it, but He denied it the right to stay that way. In verse three of the same chapter, we see that we who are made in His image according to His likeness will often talk about our problems. We state the way things are at that moment: negatively, repeat what doctors have told us, read the diagnosis over and over again, then talk about it with others, we recite the intimidating letters send to us, we repeat tragedies and things of the past.
We do talk about the without form, void, and dark things in our lives. This is one of the biggest hindrances and one of the top reasons our dark, void without form situations do not change. But instead grew worse. Let’s take a look at how God handled it all.
He first spoke Light be, and Light was. This is how He dealt with the darkness, and He spoke Jesus our true Light into being because there were no sun, moon, or stars yet from where light could come from. After this, He began structuring the earth with the firmament dividing the waters, dry land appeared, and so gave the earth form. ThenHe filled it with grass, herbs that yields seed, fruit trees, sun, moon, stars, animals of all kind, and last but not least, He made us. We were lastly, so everything was set in place and perfect for us, and the void was gone. All of this He did only by speaking it all into existence.
You and I are made in His image and likeness. We can do the very same thing when we encounter formlessness, void, or darkness! Therefore stop speaking negatively. Start visualizing, forming mental pictures, imagine how it needs to be. See it with the eyes of your heart; the eyes of faith speak what you want on the scene, speak opposite of the negative. For example, when you are single, desiring to be married: see your wedding day, imagine it, speak it into existence. Maybe your child is sick. Then form a mental picture in your mind of that child doing sports, getting married, having children of its own. Speak those things into existence! When you are in a hospital sick, imagine yourself walking into your home or being on a vacation and speak that forth. If God can do it - and He made no secret of it when the world has even tapped into it through this law of attraction movement and having results- you sure can do it too!

Speak out the prayer
I am made in the image, likeness, resemblance of God. I am just like Him, a great visionary, and I place a guard in front of my mouth so I do not speak negatively but the good into being. Light be in my life, life be structured, life be filled with good things in Jesus' name now.
Note:
Every word you speak creates something in your life, be as a child: envision your best life ever.
Do you really know that you are loved?! With such a deep, genuine, pure love that never hurts you? There are so many of us that have never experienced real true love. Missing this foundational piece is often the reason why we don’t succeed in life or struggle in life. Jesus always succeeded in everything He did since He knew His Papa God loved Him so very much. He understood this Papa God had his back, so to speak. This same Papa God of Jesus -the One who created heaven and earth- has the same love for you. He has the same strong feeling and affection for you: the identical fondness. He takes the same liking in you! Maybe no one has ever told you that they loved you or you were adopted and never felt loved. Or the ‘love’ you have encountered was rude, harsh, or mean. I can tell you that was not love at all. Maybe you feel unlovable, but even in that, the fact is you are loved whether you believe it or not.
One day I was sitting on my couch in my bedroom after a period that so many complicated things had happened. For one, I just got out of the hospital after surgery. Even though I was happy being home with my children again, the problems affected me. My body felt different, felt broken, friends of years turned away from me, I was in debt, and my finances were at a scary low. My father never came to visit me in the hospital as many family and friends didn’t. In my mind, I knew God loved me, and everything eventually was going to be okay. I started reading the book of Ephesians chapter two, verse four, when all of a sudden, the following verse hit me: “But God who is rich in mercy because of His GREAT LOVE with which He loved us….” This was as far as I got reading this scripture; tears were streaming down my face, seeing, reading that there was someone Who loved me so much, with such a great love, a notably enormous in size, huge, considerably above average love.
Who loved me when others could not, Who loved me when even though my body was wrecked, I meant a great deal to Someone. I was still special for Him even now; while writing it down, my eyes teary up. The only purpose for me writing this book is for you to be encouraged and that after twenty-one days, your mind is changed to love, success, happiness, and the good and perfect gifts of Papa God. If you never reread this book in your life, I hope this is the chapter you will never forget with all my heart.
The truth is: that you are greatly loved with a notably large in size, huge considerably above average love now and forevermore!
Be encouraged….
Speak out the prayer
I am loved by Papa God, who is rich in mercy with a great large in size, huge, considerably above average Love. Thank you, Papa God, that I am loved by you the same way you love Jesus. So from now on, I succeed in life, knowing that you have got my back in Jesus' name, amen.
Note:
This is something that you cannot overdose on with speaking it over yourself on a daily basis. Constantly keep it in front of your eyes regularly. Especially when times get tough until it becomes part and alive on the inside of you. This is something to tell your children or as well your loved ones.
I love you…
I don’t mean work when I write about job, but in this chapter, I am talking about the person, the man named Job from the Bible. Maybe you never heard of him, so I will tell you a bit about him. This Job was a blameless and upright man. He feared, honored, and reverenced God. He was married and had seven sons and three daughters. His possessions included: seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred teams of oxen, five hundred donkeys, a massive staff of servants. This Job was the most influential in all the East in his time. One day the devil spoke to God, and God mentioned His servant Job. So the devil answered that he noticed God had hedged Job’s house, household, and all that he had all around. Also that God had blessed the work of Job’s hands and increased Job’s possession. But how did Satan know this? He knew because he already tried to steal, kill and destroy Job. According to John 10:10, it tells us: “the thief comes except to kill, steal and destroy." In the time of Job, Jesus had not come yet, so Job had no mediator as we now have in Jesus.
In the following chapters of the book of Job, we can read what happened to him. Within one day, he lost all his children, everything of his property. Then in the chapters after this, his health was attacked, and he was covered in painful boils from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head. Yet, in all these things, he did not curse God even when Job's wife tells him to give up. We have the second part of the scripture, John ten verse ten, that says: “Jesus has come that they might have life and have it abundantly.” Job did not have this bible verse, and he did not even know that Satan was behind the calamity and tragedy that struck him. But even if he had known, he could not have done anything about it but stand. However, in all of this, Job never cursed God.
Have you ever cursed God when things go wrong? There might seem times when calamity or tragedy gets so severe; it looks like you will never get out of the situation. That is usually the place where many people curse God, turn their back to Him, get angry at Him and stop believing. No one had happened to them what happened to Job, and if it would, we have the authority and power to stop Satan from stealing, killing, and destroying because he is a defeated foe. We have Jesus on our side, so also the right to use the name of Jesus. Thank the Lord the story of Job has a beautiful ending to it. As for those who wonder why this could happen to Job, the reason is that Job had let fear enter his heart. That was the inroad for Satan to step in. But the moment Job spoke and said, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eyes see You.” Finally, Job understood God is good. God restored Job’s losses and gave him twice as much as he had before. If God did this for Job in the Old Testament, how much more in the New Testament.
The new covenant with Jesus as our surety where Papa God has already given us all things richly to enjoy. Life more abundantly, health, and the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. We can now submit to God and resist the devil, and He will flee!
Be encouraged…
Speak out the prayer
Through accepting Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, all the promises of God are mine, and I received them. I submit to you, God, to your Word, and I resist the devil the thief. So I command you thief: give back everything you stole from me what I am aware of and what I don't even know. I now take back all of it; double restoration is mine. Angels of God go forth and collect all that was stolen from me and bring it back into my possession all in Jesus' name, amen.
Note:
Make a list for yourself of everything that was stolen from you, things you know of, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you with the list. You can think about things like:
A failed marriage, a miscarriage, money, houses and cars, health, body part, time, and so on, and command it back in Jesus' name. Take it back by faith, and just start thanking Papa God for it.
