I met Alberto some years ago, even before he “invented” Concentrazione Network.

If I had met him later, it would have been easier maybe, because it is almost unbelievable how everything around him is currently moving so fluidly. Now I would have simply been swallowed up by the whirlwind of his Circular Networking, going into a tested mechanism and moved by his contagious enthusiasm.

Or maybe not, maybe I would have not been here writing these words, because life is full of sliding doors.

It was in the year “I cannot remember which”, but as I mentioned, it happened some years ago. At that time, I was still working in Barilla: I already had a position of responsibility, as chief of the most transactional part of the administrative service centre.

Our CFO asked me to meet a consultant who had already solved some problems in Argentina and who wanted to show us a tool for revenue reconciliation.

I welcomed his proposal as I still did not know much about the concept of networking, but had always been curious about being inspired by new technology solutions and extremely excited by any type of benchmark.

It was a pleasant meeting and, despite our company already had providers for those processes, I was highly interested in the presentation.

Respect and focus were my business card to start building a nice yet unexpected relation. After the meeting, Alberto gave me feedback, which I still remember today with pleasure and still makes me think: he thanked me for my active listening, but mainly for not having checked even once my Blackberry during the presentation.
