Auric dreams are woven in tapestries spun,

Step by step, a journey so grand,
Through the jungle's depths, a mystical land,
Each metre a realm with its tales to confide,

A fragrant herb, a guiding call,
Leaves cleanse and heal, hearts to mend,

The sixth unfolds where Aloe finds a home,
It leaves a balm where spirits roam,

The seventh is graced by Mint's refreshing embrace,
Emerald glow, a soothing space,
Leaves that cool and uplift the soul,

Eighth metre brings Cedar, noble and strong,
Forest guardian, ancient and long,
Leaves, a fortress against time's sand,
Protector of life across the land.
Ninth step bathed in Luna's soft light,
Eucalyptus stands tall, a beacon in night,
Leaves, a breath of clarity, pure and clear,
Guiding us through the unknown frontier.
With reverence, through realms, we roam,
In emerald dreams, our spirits aglow,

Introduction
The shadows dance amongst the ancient trees, casting eerie patterns on the forest floor. A sense of foreboding, tempered with a thrilling anticipation, washes over me. I am about to embark on a journey unlike any I could have imagined—a journey that leads not only deeper into the Amazon rainforest, but also into the very heart of cosmic mysteries.
My heart pounds a steady rhythm against my ribs, a mixture of fear and excitement swirling within me. I have come seeking answers, driven by a relentless curiosity that has haunted me for as long as I can remember. Little do I realise that the answers I seek lie not only in the depths of the jungle, but also in the uncharted territories of my own soul.

Inspired by the God Gene
In the heart of the Amazon Rainforest, there exists a powerful plant teacher revered by Indigenous cultures for millennia - the Ayahuasca vine. This sacred entheogenic ("inspired by God" Gene)
Brew, made by combining the vine (Banisteriopsis caapi) with other plant admixtures like Chacruna (Psychotria viridis), has long been utilised as a potent conduit for exploring the innermost layers of human consciousness and the profound mysteries of existence.
Known by such evocative monikers as "la purga" (the purge), "el vegetal" (the plant remedy), and "la medicina" (the medicine).

Over two decades ago, my spiritual exploration led me to the profound practices of Tibetan Secret Yogas. These practices weren't my first foray into profound experiences. After seeing Dr. Rick Strassman's documentary "The Spirit Molecule," my life trajectory as a filmmaker changed.
I was captivated by the participant who claimed to experience millennia in mere minutes.

As the prophetic year of singularity approached I stood on the cusp of a profound awakening. That same year I penned and published my first book chronicling my experiences and odyssey.
My first encounter with Old teacher Don Ignacio and a plant spirit in Madre de Dios unleashed a vivid vision, more real than reality itself. It felt like I had received a secret message:
"Your path lies along the shores of the mighty Amazon."
Embracing the call of the wilderness with the explorer's spirit, I accepted this new path and followed wherever it might lead, asking myself:
‘What is my best purpose in this world?’
The answer was the birth of my son, filling my life with indescribable love and joy. However, in 2018, a difficult separation left me reeling.
Survivor
Soon after I was diagnosed with cancer—a battle I was determined to win.
This turning point led me to journal my experiences, which have ultimately become the foundation for this book which is dedicated to my son. Simultaneously I hold space for inspiration and share my story with others, inviting you, dear readers, on an extraordinary odyssey.

Forest Remembers Everything
A hush falls over the room as I turn the final page of my weathered journal.
My fingers brush the rough parchment, its ink long faded. The long beams of afternoon sun slanting through the rainforest trees, casting a warm glow on the blank pages.
It imbues them with the golden light of the sunset hour, hinting at promising possibilities. The blank pages are like an uncharted ocean that stretches before me, inviting exploration and discovery. Outside the hut, a gentle breeze rustles the leaves, whispering secrets only the rainforest knows.
For a moment I feel disappointed. Is this an error? A missing chapter?
But a different sensation stirs within me of quiet anticipation. Perhaps this pause is a deliberate space for reflection, and an invitation to reveal wisdom on these unturned pages.
The silence inside the hut deepens, broken only by the rhythmic hum of cicadas outside. I close my eyes, allowing the lessons of my journey to replay in my mind: the resilience of the rainforest and the way its roots are anchored deep in the earth to resist the fiercest hurricane.
The wisdom of the villagers echoes in my memory, particularly Elder Maya's words:
"The forest remembers everything, child."
