Despite depression being a serious illness, it is overlooked by people because of fear of stigmatisation. Depression is not something to be ashamed of and I had learnt this fact the hard way. I am someone who has gone through depression and was able to overcome it. It was not easy but it is not impossible. The mantra that I have learnt to overcome depression is "Self Love is Everything".
