Dear friends, dear readers,
Back in Europa after the last 10 years living and working in Asia, it truly seems unreal to sit down now and write those few lines as introduction to my first book ‘1st step into poetry’ - a collection of my poems and underwater pictures.
This book is a sharing of a surprising creative opening. One morning last September I sensed that I should write my reflexions of the past year in form of a poem. This seemed really awkward to me, but without expectation or judgment I followed this gut feeling and wrote my very first poem ‘conditional love – amour conditionnel’. I then wrote a poem from time to time until a friend asked me to write an article for her website and so the poem ‘Pure Joy’ was created. Since then I haven’t stopped writing poems.
This collection is dedicated to all my friends, family members, fellow students, teachers and clients whom I have been on my transformative journey.
A special thank you and merci to Uwe, Marien, Nicolas, Hairin and Isabel.
Who would have thought that this book would be published one day?
Who would have imagined that I would be writing one day, and even more that I will be writing poems?! I thought all those years that I couldn’t write. I still could remember from my school days that I wouldn’t understand poetry… See, where it led me to… to not believe those thoughts any longer and just bring to paper the words that I am getting inspired with.

Liebe Freunde, liebe LeserInnen,
nach 10 Jahren in Asien und nunmehr seit 3 Monaten in Berlin, fange ich heute an, ein Buch mit einer Sammlung von mir im letzten Jahr geschriebenen Gedichten und von mir in Asien fotografierten Unterwasserwelten zusammen zu stellen.
Alles fing mit einem Bauchgefühl an, dass ich meine Reflexionen des vergangenen Jahres in Form eines Gedichtes schreiben sollte. Dies schien mir allerdings ziemlich suspekt, denn ich dachte, ich kann doch keine Gedichte schreiben!
Und so ist eines Tages im November 2014 in einem Café sitzend das Poem ‚conditional love – amour conditionnel’ entstanden.
Immer regelmäßiger schriebe ich morgens Gedichte, bis eine Bekannte mich fragte, für Ihre Webseite einen Artikel zu schreiben. Dabei ist das Poem ‚Pure Joy’ entstanden. Von diesem Zeitpunkt an schrieb ich ein Gedicht jeden Morgen als Ausdruck meiner jeweiligen Stimmung.
Diese Sammlung ist insbesondere Uwe, Marien, Nicolas, Hairin, Isabel und allen Freunden, Familienmitgliedern, Mitschülern, Lehrern, Klienten, Bekannten und Unbekannten gewidmet, die mich in den letzten Jahren bei meiner persönlichen Entwicklung begleitet haben.
