INTRODUCTION
It's every lady dream to end up in a solid defined relationship with a date on it. It's appalling how relationships tend to last for as long as 8years or more and the young man not asking the "WILL YOU MARRY ME" question.
As much as you will agree with me, no lady wants to spend more than 2years without hearing those magic words. Of course if I were a lady I'd feel this relationship is already a total waste of time. Especially when he is not even acting like he is ever going to say it.
What a waste of time right???
Vera walked into my counselling office one Friday evening shading uncontrollable tears, I couldn't tell her to leave cos it was way past my closure time.
On looking at her face I had to say "Tell me all about it"
It took Vera 30 minutes to get talking and 3 hours to offload all that was making her cry. Mike her boyfriend just ended a 5years relationship and proposed to a girl he just met 3 months ago.
Surprised right???
Well, truth be heard I felt for her deeply but I wasn't surprised, yeah I wasn't because the possibility of her situation was 100%. My aim that evening was to calm her down and let her go home safe.
I asked her if it was OK to schedule a meeting the next week with her and she obliged.
Now the big questions are
Was Vera not the one for him?
What made him propose to girl number 2?
What strategy did girl number 2 use to make him ask the WILL YOU MARRY ME QUESTION?
The conversation I had with Vera and more is what I decided to pen down in this book because over time and with my experience in marriage/relationship counseling and guidance I've come to realize that it's not usually the man's fault. (I'm not been gender biased).
