Infusing fruits to the water you drink will help you stay hydrated in a tasty way. Infusing your water with fruits, veggies, spices, botanicals and herbs will go a long way to rid your body of toxins, help you shed weight, give you vitality, and make you stay fresh and healthy.

Making Your Own Fruit Infused Water

Vegetable & Fruit Options

Fennel, peppers, celery, carrots, kiwi, pomegranate, tangerines, meyer lemon, blood orange, nectarines, plums, peaches, apples, pear, grapes, mango, honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon, grapefruit, lime, lemon, orange, cucumber, watermelon, pineapple, cherries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and more.

Botanicals, Spices & Herbs Option

Stevia, lemon verbena, chamomile, black pepper, hibiscus, cardamom, cloves, cilantro, parsley, lemongrass, vanilla, rose petals, sage, cinnamon, ginger, thyme, lavender, rosemary, basil, mint and more.

Possible Additions

Sparkling water, coconut water, chia seeds, and sweeteners.

Important Infused Water Tip

a) Use pesticide-free ingredients.

b) Use fresh herbs only.

c) For the best results, your produce should be fresh and organic.

d) To avoid the bitter taste, peel citrus before you infuse.

e) Strain smaller botanicals and herbs like peppercorns and dried lavender with a cheesecloth before you use.

The Infused Water Formula

Making infused water is not as difficult as it may seem, there really are no wrong measurements, your recipe depends on what you have and the taste you want to get. Basically, you can add every ingredient to your glass jar or pitcher, slicing and crushing the fruits to get their juices. Subsequently, bruising any herb leaves with your hands to get the oils and natural extracts. Next you add water and transfer into a refrigerator for 60 minutes or more. In this while, the fruit and herbs flavor will meld together, and the longer it stays refrigerated the better.

Storing Your Infused Water

Store infused waters in airtight pitchers or jars, gallon jugs, water bottles, glass pitchers or mason jars. Infused water should be refrigerated for up to 5-7 days, or until it loses flavor. Keep adding more water, flavors and fruits as you drink until it loses taste.
