Fruits have essential vitamins necessary for your kid’s growth and the other ingredients like nuts, milk, yogurt have other nutrients like fat, carbohydrates and proteins in the right quantities making smoothies a complete healthy snack.

The best part about smoothies is that they are not only easy to make but they are also cheap and can be made with fruits that you can buy off a local market. It retains the freshness and the nutrients in the fruits and vegetables. The other ingredients like soy milk or yogurt can also be easily bought from a local grocery store. The kids will not only have a healthy breakfast, they are also not drilling a hole in your pocket. As they grow old, you could even teach them how to make a smoothie because making a smoothie doesn’t involve rocket science but simple blending of raw fruits and vegetables.

Smoothies can be efficient substitute for milkshakes during parties as well. What makes smoothies a great snack is its inherent properties of the ingredients. The fruits also have the necessary fiber content that the body of your child needs. Owing to the colorful and attractive appearance of these smoothies, they are sure to be a hit among the young members of your family and easy to make them drink these.
