The unexplained occurrences was quite bewildering as evidence surfaced from a newspaper article they concluded he was just an illusion. Or was he?

The Appearance of a Strange Little Boy

“No Tamara, tell him I wanted four cases of Budweiser, three cases of Millers Lite, 2 cases of Corona Extra and 2 cases of Heineken.  Tell him to double check my invoice order to make sure it’s correct.”  Stacy demanded from her cell.

Stacy Bordeaux, a 27-year-old young lady was on her way to do some shopping at the mall one Saturday afternoon.  She felt it was time to get away and unwind from the thoughts of her business, her significant other, her employees and all of the other nerve-wracking aspects of her life.  Her first thought was to treat herself to an afternoon at the spa of which she had a membership, but due to her busy schedule hindered the time for indulgence.  Upon her arrival, she was treated with a relaxing body massage, a facial, both manicure, pedicure and afterward she felt quite rejuvenated from her spa regime.  Consequently, she felt even more enthused to carry on with her shopping plans. 

She arrived at the mall and browsed through the cosmetic counter in one of the stores while stopping to sample a new fragrance.  The scent was very sensual to her liking so she purchased a bottle.  She visited six stores and ended up buying several cute dresses, a couple of pairs of shoes and several nice tops.  She was about to leave one of the stores when she ran into an old girlfriend, Ava.  They decided to have dinner together since both were quite famished.  It had been nearly a year since they’ve seen one another so they talked until closing time.

“I can not believe we lost track of time.  We have to do this again real soon.”  Ava suggested.

“Oh, girl we definitely will!  So give me your cell number and I will be in touch.”  Stacy insisted.

They exchanged telephone numbers along with a gentle embrace while departing their separate ways.  Traffic was awful on Broadway Street that surrounded the mall, as people gathered to the many fine restaurants, theaters and pubs being it was a Saturday night.  Everyone seemed to be out and about for the evening.  Stacy found openings through the mall parking lot that led to back streets maneuvering away from mall traffic when she ended up heading towards Highway 79.  It was quite a distance out of the way but it beats sitting in traffic for hours going nowhere.

She put in one of her favorite CD’s, set her cruise control to 65 mph and relaxed to the music on the open highway.  Highway 79 consists of main farmland with very few businesses along the way.  As she drove along the dark stretch of highway suddenly she saw a little boy standing on the side of the highway with no shirt on.  She was startled yet concerned, as she swiftly pressed her brakes decreasing her speed.  “Why would a little boy be standing out here on the highway all by himself?”  She pondered slowing down avidly looking through her rearview mirror but she could not see him in the darkness behind.  Quite solicitous, she pulled over into the emergency lane of the highway to park turning on her caution flashers, she immediately reached over into her glove compartment to grab a small flashlight as she began to exit her vehicle.  Slowly she ambled along in the eerie darkness of the emergency lane, flashing the beam of light ahead of her hoping to assist the little boy.

"Hello!  Little boy!  Are you there?  I want to help you!"  She called out as she slowly ambled along.
