Summarizing and writing reflections about what I come across as reader has always been gratifying. As I write them down, the sensation I have is that I am contributing not only for spreading those topics that I consider important, but also registering moments of reflection regarding our role as professionals, in a continuous quality improvement context, the search for the excellence and the need for everyone’s participation in the daily creation practice of a new organization, that respects people and encourages the absolute expression of its employees; assuming the responsibility to make their workplace happier, more human, positive, pleasing, respectful, healthy and stimulating.

Learning how to change thoughts into actions makes us masters of our fates, breathes life into the creative potential each of us has and makes us become masters of our fate.
“Destiny is not a matter of change; it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved.”William Jennings Bryan (1860-1925)
In Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, Cassius says “Men at some time are masters of their fates, the fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.” This is indeed a creative spear, sharp and to the point, applying to those who feel wronged by fate.
Are you lucky or does it all go wrong? Are you the one that knows how to make the most of the good things in life or the one that carries a burden of woe?
The first thing springing to mind whenever we think of dreams that did not come true is to blame fate or luck, be it good luck or bad. Some people throw up their hands thinking everything is written in the stars or something equally senseless, unknown forces at play. Crazy. Where’s the sense in that? We invent the most absurd excuses for our failures and blunders.
Luck, good or bad is something we make ourselves, according to the way we think, plan and act.
Learning how to change thoughts into actions makes us masters of our fates, breathes life into the creative potential each of us has and makes us become masters of our fate.
If we could visit our past and analyze it down to the last detail, it would be easy to see where we get it wrong. We would see our mistakes, where we took the wrong path. We all have free will, the right (or maybe the duty) to choose. We are responsible for our choices, right or wrong. Choices that make dreams come true or choices that destroy them.
At any moment, we can choose and begin the journey for a better life. We must forget about the stars and other excuses. They have no relation to your problem or mine. Only you and I are responsible for our acts. Our own hands write our own fate, not the stars.
We maybe cannot change the world, but we can surely change ourselves.
Leave negativism and scepticism behind. Abandon your lack of beliefs. You will see the difference.
“Years leave wrinkles upon the skin. But loss of enthusiasm leaves wrinkles upon the soul.”Michael Lynberg
Enthusiasm... A simple word, but one of the least understood.
Enthusiasm transforms a common person into an exceptional one.
We rave about enthusiastic people as if they were inspired. Enthusiasm makes an old person young, a hidden spring of endless energy. The beautiful urge that leads us from mediocrity to excellence. The pleasant emotional spring that sparkles and attracts people to our side, absorbing the energy that comes from our heart, the joyous song of a positive-thinking person, giving an inspired message to the world. I can do it. It is possible. We will do it.
Older people drink from enthusiasm’s elixir, gaining renewed dreams, infusing tired bones with mysterious, miraculous and wonderful new strengths. Discouragement vanishes like a morning mist cleared by the sunshine. Suddenly, you’re whistling, noticing the birds flying high and the glorious shape of white clouds against a blue sky. A new you being born from deep within. You whistle. You sing. You’re alive again.
Some wisdom and enthusiasm can take a person much farther than intelligence alone. Those who have had more influence on the world were not so much geniuses, as people of strong convictions, of endless perseverance, impelled by the irresistible feeling of enthusiasm and indomitable determination. Enthusiasm will always open a door for you when all other keys fail.
Leave negativism and scepticism behind. Abandon your lack of beliefs. You will see the difference. Do not think it impossible to feel enthusiastic under your current conditions. You will get out of this rut. You need to believe in yourself. Believe in your ability to win, to be successful, and to transform reality.
Failure gives an opportunity to learn a better way.
“Failure isn’t failure unless you don’t learn from it.”Dr. Ronald Niednagel
The FEAR OF FAILURE has to go. This fear has destroyed many. In truth, fear of failure is much more destructive than failure. In every sphere of life this fear can defeat you before you even start.
Until you get rid of the fear of failure, your projects will never bear fruit. Your goals will become a swamp where your best ideas will drown. Instead of motivating you, they will smother you.
Fear of failure is the worry of what others may think. As if failing were the greatest of scandals. What a ridiculous supposition. We assume we are losers making one, or many mistakes and are therefore doomed for all eternity. How many people are winners in all they do?
None.
The most successful people are those that learn from their mistakes, turning failure into opportunity. All scientific breakthroughs, all business dealings and all happy marriages are a result of a series of failures. Nobody is successful without them.
Failing means you made an effort. This is good. Failure gives an opportunity to learn a better way. This is positive. Failure is a fact, never a person, never an attitude, never a result. Failure is a temporary hindrance to reaching your goal. Your reaction to failure determines how useful failure can be. You can eliminate failure from your life by giving it another meaning.
Failure does not mean you are a loser… It means you haven’t succeeded yet.
Failure does not mean you’ve been a fool… It means you’ve been hopeful.
Failure does not discredit you… It means you were willing to try.
Failure does not mean you’re incapable… It means you should do something differently.
Failure does not mean you will never reach your goal… It just means you will take a little longer.
Get rid of the fear of failure and carry on.
