Carlos Eduardo Mariolani
A question rises, bright as dawn,
and the world answers in its own hush—
stones warming under sun, leaves trembling
with the same quiet shimmer of intent.
Out of the first darkness, a spark stretched
its filament across the void,
a single thread pulling open space
until wonder had room to bloom.
Somewhere a conscience glows—unnamed,
yet shaping root and feather,
teaching rivers how to turn,
teaching breath how to carry light.
Planets wheel in patient circles;
seasons turn like slow-moving tides.
In every pulse, from hatchling cry
to the soft slip of a final breath,
the universe writes itself through us.
The laws of nature move in quiet certainty,
older than the pulse of memory,
traced in the slow script of rivers,
in constellations drifting like ancient ink.
Galaxies bloom and dim in distant corridors,
while moss softens the earth beneath our steps—
each whisper of the world a kindness,
each shift of light a testament.
These laws are not commands from afar
but the currents that lift and steady us,
turning every breath into an offering,
every morning into a chance to align.
In the unfolding world, wonder waits—
leaf-edge fire, wind-borne prayer.
To honor it is to keep the world whole,
to walk as kin to all that lives.
Where does the sacred settle?
Not in whispered promises,
but in the forward stride of thought—
a pulse insisting on its place in the world.
Emptiness builds no shelter;
something must rise from its hollow,
a spark widening until it carries
the quiet weight of galaxies.
Turn away and the vision flickers,
yet some hidden gravity gathers the strands,
tightening the weave of being
into one trembling fabric of light.
Look up: the cosmos glows like a living quilt,
its seams stitched with drifting fire—
every star a word from an older tongue.
From swirling clouds to a dewdrop’s quiver,
the same first radiance moves through us,
shaping our breath into form.
Not etched in stone or held in scripture,
but carried in the body—
in the tremor before harm,
in hunger eased when bread is shared.
These laws live in the quiet between us:
in the steadiness of an honest gaze,
in the room we make for sorrow,
in the way we lean yet do not break.
Call them sacred or simply human—
a constellation forming beneath the skin,
guiding us like a slow, sure tide,
teaching us to choose gentleness first.
They remind us to love beyond reason,
to move through the world as if each breath is lent,
not racing time but learning its rhythm,
stepping toward grace with open hands.
The sky leans close, speaking in bright currents—
a tension luminous and alive,
drawn from the restless pulse of chaos,
yet steady as a held breath between storms.
Day hands its ember to night,
and night unwinds into pale morning;
their turning feels like quiet choreography,
light learning the soft geometry of arrival.
Even the laws whisper gently—
not as marks fixed on a surface,
but as wind threading through open ribs,
as a tide of blood lifting its crimson moon.
Listen—no discord gathers here.
Stars wheel in patient spirals,
moved by a force without a name
yet felt in every bright thrum of living.
Where does the sacred law reside?
Not in stone or in brittle scrolls,
but in the slow ember inside the chest,
glowing steady as a sunrise held close.
Unseen, it still moves through us—
a breath that rises like wind before speech,
a tightening ache when we step from our truth,
a gravity drawing us back to ourselves.
It pulls us toward the narrow, honest path,
away from the shadows we’re tempted to follow,
speaking in the pulse beneath our skin,
in the quiet insistence of water under ice.
Do not search the far-off heavens for it;
it waits in the marrow’s warm chambers,
a lantern weathering every storm,
guiding us home through the long, turning night.
A cosmos hums beneath the skin—
tones glimmering on filaments too fine to follow.
Something moves through us, not fate or god,
but a rhythm folding time into breath.
A quiet architecture steadies our days:
wind lifting a curtain into morning,
grief arriving sideways
while we stand buttering toast.
We choose, yes—yet every path
rests on ground laid long before us.
Still we step forward, sure or wavering,
carrying weights we never thought to name.
In the hush between birdcall and stillness,
a presence brushes past—not steering,
but reminding us we are woven, not watched.
Each ache, each sudden laugh in a parked car,
part of a pattern too bright to grasp—
not law, but light threading through the everyday.
In him we glimpsed what we long for—
not distant perfection,
but a life opened like a field after rain,
a path cleared so others can walk unhurt.
His words fell with the clarity of water,
teaching not through thunder
but through the steady pulse of compassion made visible—
a law carried in the way he tended the broken.
In him we saw a heart unarmored,
a light that revealed rather than blinded,
not a crown of power but a steadying voice,
a fire shared from hand to hand.
So we walk, not alone but in that quiet glow,
each step a soft echo of his,
not to copy but to live with fierce grace—
to cast light where the world is hungriest for it.
Not chance but pattern—
a quiet pulse threading through stardust,
the mind lifting like a bird at dawn,
its way lit by a small, interior sun.
Each thought a filament
too fine for any earthly weaving,
formed in the stillness between heartbeats,
drawn from places words cannot follow.
Inside, a single chord burns—
color trembling in the body’s dark,
unbound by logic or the ticking of hours,
rising like breath from a spring without shadow.
Behind the ribs, in unlit rooms,
ideas unfurl their soft, insistent wings;
they flare—light caught in a jar of air—
then sketch galaxies on whatever wind arrives.
He spoke it simply,
a truth small enough to rest inside a breath:
Do for others what you would ask for yourself—
a seed offered to the soil of the heart.
No stone tablets, no voice split by thunder,
just a promise that grows when we choose mercy,
when we offer bread instead of hunger,
a hand open instead of closed.
This law is not a burden but a compass,
a lantern moving gently through the dark,
