My name is Elizabeth, Elizabeth Evans. I started out on the ketogenic diet in the year 2015, I remember being overweight, my husband was not very comfortable with my weight but he didn’t know how to tell me, I was starting to hate myself and gradually depression was setting in on me.
I remember having a chat with my friend Christy (by the way Christy is a darling), and she shared her sister's success story with the ketogenic diet and I decided to try it out. To be honest, I didn't really have much of a choice.
Anyway, fast forward to late 2016, after losing a terrible amount of weight, became a beauty for my husband to behold again and return to living life to its fullest, I started teaching people professionally about the ketogenic diet.
In early January, I published my first ketogenic diet book and I have written several more after that. In my personal & professional experience as a ketoer, I have observed that when people are staring out on the ketogenic diet, they tend to want to re-create a lot of their favorite non-ketogenic foods but then a lot of people finding it challenging to do this.
One of the major food items a lot of people don't want to do away with and wish they could have while on the ketogenic diet are the various bread recipes. After numerous requests from my client, I decided to do a little gold digging into the treasure that can be unraveled in Ketogenic Bread.
In this cookbook, I will share with you some of my favorite recipes that I have been able to discover on this hunt of mine.
This book is specially tailored to meet your needs and satisfy every craving you might have for ketogenic breads. I know you will find this book useful and I cannot wait to read your success stories in the review section.
The ketogenic diet, is known as a diet focused at reducing your carbohydrate intake, while encouraging more of fatty foods and moderate consumption of protein. This process helps the body to produce ketones which replace glucose as the body's form of energy and it is produced from the breakdown of the body's stored fat and its new intakes.
The ketogenic diet has over the years being referred to by different names and terminologies such as keto diet, low carb high fat, low carb diet and lots more.
When you consume a lot of carbohydrate, your body system produces glucose, which serves as the body's primary energy and insulin that is used to transport the glucose around the body through the blood streams. While all this is happening, whatever fat preciously stored in the body system or the new ones being consumed becomes useless so the body stores them up and it is this excessive storage of unused fats that leads to body fat.
But when you deny the body of carbohydrate (it's primary source of energy), the body system is being forced in search for another energy source and here come the fats that has being accumulated overtime.
When these fats get worked on and broken down, ketones are being produced as the new body energy and it is at this state that the body is said to have reached ketosis.
So, in this process of ketone production, the fats in the body are being used up, leading to drastic weight loss experience and a generally healthier living.
Changing your body's energy source, burning fats and getting rid of insulin in the body has numerous health benefits than the obvious one of losing weight. In this book, I will briefly talk about some of the various benefits of following a ketogenic diet.
The first major benefit that everyone on the ketogenic diet enjoys is the rapid weight loss that ensure after embarking on the diet. In fact, this is one of the major reasons why some people follow the diet. The production of ketones is dependent on the breakdown of body fats which in turns leads to weight loss.
Sugar is a carbohydrate food and it is because of the high consumption of carbohydrate that a lot of people suffer from high sugar level. With the ketogenic diet that cuts down on carbohydrate intake, the body's level of sugar will also being cut down and maintained.
Ketone is a great source of fuel for the brain, it has been proved scientifically to increase mental performance, improve concentration and focus. Various research has shown that an increased in the consumption of fatty acids can have beneficial impacts on the functioning of the brain.
