Synopsis

Yeah, because things get even more complicated when you have to choose. When you were little it was enough to close your eyes and pointing your little finger... but when you are teen it's not so easy.

Chapter One

 opened my eyes and looked around me, still unwilling to believe to be at home and I smiled when I saw my room, the walls painted with a light tonality of purple and the glitter that light up the room, my cute puppies over the bookshelf, my books and all things that I left here before to leave.

I blinked my eyes to focus better and stretched my arms, then I stood myself up to open the shutters. I watched the landscape in front of me for a few minutes, breathing the fresh air that I missed so much.

After a few minutes, I made my way to the kitchen where to welcome me there were my parents. Once I finished my breakfast I chilled out a little on the couch until my phone started to buzz and a text from my best friend Skye appeared on the screen.

"Hey sis I'm gonna make a party to celebrate our graduation tonight will you be ?" Skye sent me a text.

Even though I don't like the parties I accepted to go, considering that like an opportunity to meet up again with my old schoolmates.

After lunch I went upstairs to my room to decide what I would wear tonight at the party and later an endless time I finally started to get ready, I had got a black and white striped short dress with a black lace top, a pair of a black high heel, a clutch of the same color, jewels and to finish a few of make up then I was ready to go.

The room was huge and decorated with a lot of balloons, at the two opposite sides there were some tables with a bunch of delicious food and beverage and in the middle, a couple of guys were dancing over the high volume music that was spreading around the room. After have danced a few I approached towards the banquet to get something to eat and there I ran into Edith, my old schoolmate.

"Hey, Mya what's up? It's so long that we don't see!" she hugged me

"I'm fine and you? What you tell me?" I said.

"Well... Everything as usual! And you how it's been your experience in Italy?" She questioned me.

"Oh, it's been perfect! Italy is wonderful! Though I missed home so much!"

"I guess ... I'm very happy that you came back, Mya!" She said, flashing me a smile.

"Me too Edith!" I flashed her a smile back.

Our chat has been interrupted by the buzz of my phone, and as soon as I took it from the clutch a smile spread over my face at the view of that name "My love".

Immediately I made my way towards the bathroom to find out a quite place where I could have answered.

"Mya love how are you?" He said.

"Hey, Alex I'm fine and you?"

"I would be better if you were here!"

"Oh honey I know, sorry but I couldn't come here there are all my friends that I don't see since so much time!"

"I know sweetheart but I don't see you since so much time too!"

"Please don't start with this story again, we have already told about that"

"I know, but I behave like that because I love you"

" I love you too and I miss you, tomorrow we are gonna spend all day together, I swear you!"

"Okay pay attention and don't drink!"

"I don't drink honey you know that!" I said letting out a sigh.

"I know, though it's better to tell that before"

"Quit it! Now I've got to go, bye see you later!"

"Alright! Have a good fun and be a good girl!"

"Uff okay goodbye my darling!"

"Bye, I love you!"

"I love you too!"

I ran off the call, snorting and I put back the phone into my clutch then I went out of the bathroom and pass through the hallway to reach the room where there was the party.

Suddenly a familiar sound came into my ears and without realizing it I've been attracted by it and I ended up in front of a huge room full of instruments, but what caught my attention was a white shiny piano lighted up by a big chandelier.

Then I moved my gaze and I saw another black shiny piano at the opposite side of the room, where there was a guy who was playing with his eyes shut and the fingers delicately glided over the black and white keys like feathers.

I remained enchanted and I leaned on the door frame while staring in silence....

The music has been interrupted, I reopened my eyes and the guy that was playing the piano before, now was staring at me, a surprised expression covered his face.

"You're very good!" I broke the silence between us.

"What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Well... What do you think to thank me? I gave you a compliment!" I said with a smirk.

"I don't like compliments, overall from people I don't even know!" The unknown guy said.

"You wrong! You should like them!"

"It's not you that gotta tell me this!"

"Okay... Anyway, I'm Mya nice to meet you!" I said offering him a welcoming smile.

"Okay... I'm Logan ... You can go now I suppose you are here because of that fucking party!"

"Yeah...!"

"Well ... Go away!"

And with an astonished expression on my face I went away, wondering how it's possible that the same guy that seemed sweet while was playing the piano, then he revealed himself like a total fucker.

Chapter Two

I come back to the party.

"Mya where have you been? We didn't see you anymore!" Skye burst into with a worried voice.

"I was an instant to the bathroom Alex called me!" I answered.

"Alright ... does he know you are here?" She asked.

"Yeah ...obviously!" I replayed with a certain expression.

"You sure? Knowing him he wouldn't agree!"

"Well...you won! He did not so agree but I will talk to him tomorrow. However, I didn't know you have got a piano!"

"Whaat?" Skye asked me with an astonished face.

"While I was coming here I've seen a room full of instruments in front of the bathroom!"

"Ohh... That piano it's not mine, but it's my cousin Logan!"

"Oh my God, that guy is your cousin?" I said still astonished.

"Yeah, he just recently moved here, but... Sorry, how do you know him?"

"Mhh I told him before, I heard a sound and I was curious, then I went to see!"

"He loves playing the piano exactly like you!"

"He is very good but he is such an asshole!"

"Hey Logan is not an asshole, it's just his character!"

"Woah...compliment for the beautiful character!"

"Ahahah quit it, idiot!" She said laughing.

"I love you, sis!"

"I love you too!"

The party went on well even if I felt weird, I didn't do anything else rather than thinking about that fucker and I didn't even know why.

As soon as I came back home, I took the phone out of the clutch, I unlocked it and I saw that there were two missing calls and four messages from my boyfriend Alex.

"Honey, where are you?"

"Honey why you don't answer me?"

"It's 2 AM and you are not at home yet!"

"Okay got it, when you come back at home call me whatever time is!"

At the view of those messages I snorted, I really love him, though when he behaves like that I don't bear him because he worries so much about me.

I called Alex.

"Alex it's me!"

"Hey sweetie, I've been seeking you since 2 AM. May I know why you didn't answer?" He said with a strict voice.

"Well ... You know with the high volume music you make an effort to hear the phone that buzzes into the clutch, don't you think that?" I said mocking him.

"You're right, sorry but I was worried about you babe!"

"Well, you didn't need to!"

"Anyway, why you came back home so late? It's 3 AM!"

"Maybe because it was a party? Come on chill out!" I muttered.

"Alright go to sleep now!" Alex instructed.

"Okay, daddy!" I said with an obedient tone.

"Don't call me like that! You know, I behave like this just because I love you so much!"

"I know that, but sometimes you are a little exaggerated!"

"Okay sorry, my dear!"

"Goodnight my love, see you tomorrow I love you so much!"

"Goodnight honey, it doesn't need that you repeat it a lot of time, though! I already know that stupid!"

"Goodnight babe!"

"Goodnight idiot!" I said smiling.

I hung up and leaned the phone on the nightstand, then I lay down on the bed and I stared the ceiling thinking of how much lucky I am to be engaged with a guy like Alex.

With that thought, I fall asleep.
