Preface

All matter has consciousness and an astral body from minerals, animals to humans. Pythagoras put it this way: ‘Consciousness sleeps in the stone, dreams in the plant, awakes in the animal and slowly becomes aware of itself in man.’ In nature there are the three subhuman kingdoms⎯ the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdom; the human kingdom; and the kingdom of the souls; and then there is the Devic kingdom. Consciousness vibrates at its lowest in the mineral kingdom, a little higher in the animal kingdom and still higher in the human kingdom. The mind is what distinguishes the human from animals. Animals are driven by their instincts whereas the human being has the capacity to think and create by using his mind and intellect. The human also has the capacity to be aware of right and wrong, an awareness that animals do not possess.

This is known and accepted today by most who are familiar with the metaphysical world. Traditional science, however, has not yet caught up with thousands of years old esoteric secret knowledge. The door to this esoteric kingdom of knowledge still remains locked to many scientific minds. On Wikipedia it says: ‘There is no scientific evidence that an astral body exists. Psychologist Donovan Rawcliffe assumes the existence of the astral body to be a myth, has written that delusions and hallucinations due to hysteria have undoubtedly helped to perpetuate the myth of the astral body.’ But very slowly things are changing by sheer force of the masses that not only believe, but also know and sense through their own personal experiences. More than ever before, physicists and some scientists even are joining the spiritual onward march of evolution.

We have advanced enough today to accept, the complexities of life, the existence of other galaxies and universes, other worlds, other life forms, extra-terrestrials and the age old concept of the wheel of re-incarnation and its purpose. There exists are multiple other dimensions in our world and between each plane of existence there is an invisible veil, that one has to penetrate through a portal, in order to experience any of the other dimensions.

What has occurred in the last centuries, for several reasons, one of which is the behavior of humanity as a whole⎯ i.e. violence, wars, destruction, pain, suffering, anger, greed, fear and hate—in short, an excess of negative dark energies, is that this veil that exists to protect us, between the physical and the astral worlds has been ruptured, cracked and damaged in many areas. For this reason, we have the astral plane frequencies infiltrating in to our physical realm both negative and positive. This might explain the strange occurrences we have been experiencing namely, abnormal behavior of some people, inability to communicate or understand each other, unable to agree on anything, who seem to be living in different realities. The more we humans comprehend what the astral plane is all about, and what happens there, the more we can make sense of our lives on earth, the more we can be in control of our physical lives and our lives after death in the astral world.

Ancient wisdom teachings speak of a world of forces that are invisible to the naked eye and in spite of lack of evidence, this is a reality for the intuitive thinkers of this world both past and present. As we enter the Aquarian Age, more and more people are developing their intuitive powers, and many have become aware of the Higher Self and the Divine Spark within. OBE ‘Out of Body Experience,’ also NDE ‘Near Death Experience’ are buzzwords spreading like wildfire. Some people astral-travel while meditating, others while sleeping and yet others via lucid dreaming. Many experience this phenomenon at times of crisis and have had near-death encounters.

Another truth that we all need to accept, is that we humans are born to be creators and because of our ignorance and incomprehension, we ourselves have been responsible for creating all the chaos, madness and violence around us. We, not God, are responsible for all the good and the bad in this world. Many are in the habit of blaming God or circumstances for everything that goes wrong in their life, or ask, why is this happening to me, why does God allow all these terrible things to happen. The reality is that God has nothing to do with how we humans behave. Remember, we have been given the freedom to think and the freedom to make our own choices. We humans are creatures of energy and energy itself is neutral. Energy does not care who you are or what you represent, energy is the same for everyone, black, brown, yellow or white, male or female, adult or child. This universal energy is at the disposal of every one of us. Each human has the ability and the choice to use this energy either for good or evil. It is our choice how we think, how we behave and what we do or don’t do. Then we also need to remember that every thought, every action we take or non-action has consequences, and we are required to take responsibility for all our actions and non-actions, and to accept the consequences.

Several movies have been made about the astral world. Are we dreaming our reality? Inception, The Shining, Matrix Trilogy, Dark Knight Trilogy and many other similar science fiction movies give you an insight of how things operate in the astral realms. With the knowledge we have today as a human family, as we continue to grow in our consciousness, maybe now after reading some books written about the Astral world, you can re-visit these movies and similar many others, to gain a much deeper understanding of how things operate on the astral realms.

The Netflix movie ‘Behind Her Eyes’ although it makes for compelling watching, is fiction and is not an entirely accurate portrayal of what is possible in astral travel. The film serves the purpose, however, to arouse further interest and of acceptance by the general public in the existence of an astral dimension. Many have written books about their personal ‘Out of Body’ experiences as well as ‘Near Death Experiences.’ Some perhaps are accurate based on genuine experiences while others may be no more than dreams and hallucinations. There are also those who can genuinely communicate with astral beings who are able to cross between the two worlds.

If you are someone who needs material proof, or traditional scientists’ approval before you accept anything, then the door to other realms of existence will remain closed and an enigma to you until such times that you are ready to explore new horizons with an open mind.

Many millions, if not billions, worldwide over aeons have this connection with the spirit world and they can’t all be dreaming or hallucinating. To satisfy your curiosity and to expand your view of your world, read this book, or any other on the same topic, and file away the information somewhere in your mind as pending for further investigation. You never know, there will come a time when you too might not have a choice but to believe in the existence of other worlds. Scientists are speaking about parallel worlds, extraterrestrials, life on other planets and more about the world of spirit. In reality much remains hidden to the masses. Truth is ever expanding and the teachings of ancient wisdom is a never-ending source of information because there is always more to discover, more to learn and always more room for us to expand in our consciousness.

Introduction

Growing up in Baghdad as a young girl, I was very familiar with all the many tales of the One Thousand and One Nights. I heard of wizards changing shape at will to a snake or a bird, to escape the wrath of a Sultan, I heard of flying horses and genies flying over mountains, I saw movies of Aladdin and the incredible wonders that he experienced with his travels, of flying carpets, the many odd entities and monsters he encountered, and many more of such fantasies. Now I understand that all those ancient tales were based on life in the astral world. I am convinced the parables and fables of old had hidden messages of wisdom, for those who had an imagination, an open heart and mind. Or could It be that our ancestors knew much more about the subtle worlds, had access to knowledge that was lost, destroyed and forgotten over the past recent centuries.

The story of The Odyssey written in Greek in 700 BCE, translated to English in 1616 is another good example. Although in our modern times thinkers write off all ancient tales as myths, because they seem so far beyond our limited restricted imagination, I personally believe all so-called myths are based on some grain of truth. It seems that one-eyed giant cyclops did exist in ancient times because stories about them exist in many parts of the world. The same goes for unicorns, so many ancient tales are told about them from China to Africa, to India to the Middle East that they can’t all be hallucinating. It is so easy for scientists to write off all that as myths. What about the voyages and tales of Odysseus visiting the underworld where he communicates with souls long gone, including that of his mother.

Modern unenlightened minds demand proof, they often say: If I can’t see it and touch it, it does not exist. A great pity! Because there is much about life that we cannot see nor touch. You will understand what I mean as you keep on reading about the astral world.

I, ever since I can remember, was always sensitive to other dimensions but had no idea how to explain it all. I learned very soon to keep my astral experiences to myself. I never felt alone and always felt protected in all situations. I met life with youthful joy, love and innocence. Now I know that I often visited the astral world in my sleep. I had snapshot visions of the future as far as family and friends were concerned and I could read people’s minds. I know that this made some people around me feel uncomfortable but I did not know why exactly.

I remember a game I played as a young girl and continued later as an adult. Whenever I was with a group of people, I would perch myself up in a corner near the ceiling and watch everyone including myself interacting. I enjoyed doing that and did it naturally. I did this without giving it a second thought, unaware that it was my astral body that was floating up there. Earlier on until I learned otherwise, I used to believe that everyone else could do the same. Today ‘astral travel’ is a buzzword spreading like wild fire over the world wide web. More and more people are curious and want to know about astral projection. True or not, it seems to me that every second person I meet claims to having had an ‘out of body experience’ or is an old hand at ‘astral travel.’

At social gatherings when I was in California, four decades ago, I was approached many times to take part in seances, I was asked if I would agree to be a medium, to contact the spirits of the dead. An inner prompting told me not to get involved, so no matter how much they tried to convince me to join them, I refused to have anything to do with that. I was never for the thrills and titillations of the unknown dimensions, for me it was all very serious and was not to be taken lightly.

But it is opening very slowly by sheer force of the masses that not only believe, but also know and sense through their own personal experiences. More than ever before physicists and scientists are joining the spiritual onward march, mainly because they have no choice as they find themselves at a cul-de-sac and have nowhere else to turn for answers.

Here’s what I found as I surfed the internet on astral travel. An advertisement on one website read: ‘Amazing Scientific Breakthrough will allow you to have a successful Astral projection within 20 minutes! Learn how to leave your body, walk through walls, fly around your neighborhood, meet your deceased loved ones, communicate with your guides and teachers, travel through time to witness past or future events and much more! 100% guaranteed or your money back!’ Now who can say NO to such a fascinating invitation! Innocent people looking for adventure believing this nonsense, pay a high fee to be taken for a ride.

Not because the astral world doesn’t offer all the adventures as mentioned but because it is ridiculous to think that it’s possible to learn to do this within 20 minutes. I suspect that they delivered through hypnotizing the people into believing that they actually experience what was promised to them. Unfortunately, many dabble today in a mystical world, oblivious of the fact that there is some danger when one is ignorant of the details and the hazards involved, when entering other dimensions. I hope to shed some light on this for you in this book and to raise your curiosity so that you will continue to research, to read more writings and studies about astral travel and to understand as much as you possibly can, before you venture out to send your astral body to explore the unknown. Also, to prepare yourself for after death experiences.

The world of technology has opened a whole new world to us humans. All information we desire, from Ancient Wisdom Knowledge to newly discovered information, is available at our finger tips. Yet although we have made a huge leap forward with technology, and we have a wealth of information and abilities available to us, the very source of Life itself remains a puzzle. A mysterious puzzle full of contradictions. The most brilliant of scientists, intellectuals as well as religious minds are constantly researching and discovering new information on every level. Records have been left by our ancestors for future generations in symbols, images and writings on stone, clay-tablets, papyrus, scrolls, paper, books and more recently producing thousands of videos eager to share new findings with us, the same as so many others before them, over the many past millenniums and yet, none has been able to even come close to solving this riddle of life. Who really created the Universe? Is there a God? Is there a heaven and hell as religions claim? Is there a meaning to life at all? Are we living in a hologram? Do we have a soul? And where do we really go after death, or is this it after all as so many believe, the only one life we have after which there is nothing.

I am thinking that just maybe we are not meant to find all the answers to the great puzzle of life. Some things will forever remain a mystery to the masses. How else can we explain that after thousands and thousands of years, many gone-by civilizations, some even more advanced than ours, and the extensive research by so many brilliant scientists, no human has ever found all the answers to all these questions. Or is it perhaps that we are incapable of understanding the answers until we have individually and collectively completed the cycle of evolution that is planned for us as intelligent human beings, transforming from carbon base beings to spiritual light beings.

Could it be that we are an experiment for some higher species. Perhaps some higher life forms, much more advanced than we are, far beyond our understanding, who have an interest in our evolution progress as humans. Perhaps we are here to generate energy that other higher beings feed on. This would be logical as plants are nourished by earth, animals feed on plants or other smaller animal species and we humans feed on both plants and animals. Would it not be logical to think that just maybe other higher species than us feed on us. Not on our flesh but on the energy we generate. The universe after all is all about energy.

The one thing I am sure of, as many other like-minded people, is that there is a plan, that we are here for a reason, living through all that we are experiencing in this physical world and that we are here to learn, to grow and to develop ourselves to beings of higher consciousness. Perhaps it is as simple as that. We know that we are meant to develop ourselves, to explore life on earth in a physical body, to experience emotions and to evolve before we can move on to higher dimensions. Life is energy, and energy is neutral. It is we individually and collectively that transmute this energy as negative or positive, i.e. evil or good, through our thoughts and actions.

We are meant to raise our energy vibration, by raising our level of consciousness as individuals and, more important, as one human family, always for the good.

It seems that we have so far failed to comprehend the first simple lesson we are supposed to understand. The lesson that we as a human family are one with the universe. The Creator Force of our world, or God if you like, is generous and loves diversity. All you need to do is look around your world, wherever you may be, with open eyes and mind. We need to understand that we should be celebrating and embracing the diversity of nations, individuals, races, cultures, languages, faiths and beliefs. Claims of superiority of one nation over another, one religion over another, or one individual over another has no basis and no future, because humanity is one family. We are all in this together. Why is it so difficult to understand this very simple fact. The more advanced living souls who have a higher consciousness level of what life is about understand this very well. Luckily there are those who are carrying the heavy load on behalf of all humanity, a large group of progressive thinkers worldwide, who are initiating a spiritually alive movement who recognize one crucial reality— to spread the spirit of intelligence, wisdom, love and joy.

The message is simple as we have been told again and again since the ages. And yet exactly herein we fail the task, why? because we are too comfortable immersed in the material world. How can we understand the world, the universe, God, each other or anything for that matter, if we don’t understand our true self. This message that has been repeated throughout the aeons:

This means that when you know yourself then you will know the universe, when you know your-self you will know God. One cannot say this more clearly. Rather than accumulating knowledge from the outside world, we are meant to go inwards to discover our true self. Our ‘true self’ within. The ‘spark of divinity’ within us. Understand and marvel at the complexities of how your physical body works both the tangible and the intangible. We are meant to understand the complete gamut of our emotions and our mental capacities. We are meant to learn to control our negative emotions and desires, and to be in control of our physical body. We are not meant to be the slaves of our lower emotions and thoughts nor to be the slaves of our physical body and lower desires. Make an effort to develop yourself, your character, be more aware, raise your vibration, evolve in your consciousness level. Know that you are a spiritual being. Feel the oneness with all. Explore your mind to reach out to other dimensions and more will be revealed to you. It is a pity that this is not a part of the traditional educational system. But hopefully, this will change in future decades.

Unfortunately, many adventurous souls, dabble today in a mystical world oblivious of the fact that there is much danger when one is unaware of the details and the hazards involved upon entering other dimensions. I hope to shed some light on this for you and to raise your curiosity so that you will continue to research, to read more writings and studies about the astral world. Before you can decide whether you believe in the existence of an astral world at all, or whether you wish to venture out to send your astral body to explore unknown worlds, you need to understand as much as you possibly can, of both the advantages as well as the dangers of such a venture.

If you are a total novice to the metaphysical world, your first instinct might be to reject the whole idea. Fear, the same as hate, is a negative energy and it attracts negative energies and entities to you. The more you understand and accept yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, the more self-confidence you will gain, the more you fill yourself with light, the more you are able to embrace the spirit, the divine within you, the more protected you will feel. It is pure ignorance of the unknown that breeds fear. Knowledge is power. The opposite of fear is love. The more you fill your being and your life with love, the less room there will be for fear. Accept the challenges and overcome the obstacles put in your way. This is a way to grow. Be grateful for what you have.

Work with whatever you have at your disposal. Self-pity, despair, depression, are negative energies that put you in a dark hole and hold you forever captive. Instead turn to the spirit within you for guidance. Never take anything for granted for it can be here today and gone tomorrow.
