the apples for about five minutes until they turn soft. Then remove the skillet from the oven and allow the apples to cool for around half an hour.
In the meantime prepare the streusel topping and caramel sauce. Beat the melted butter in a mixer till you get a creamy texture and slowly add powdered sugar to the butter. Add the eggs one at a time while beating.
Add the flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt to a bowl. To the bowl add the butter and eggs mixture. Beat the mixture at a low speed and blend it well.
Add the vanilla flavoring essence and stir the mixture well.
Add the batter on to a buttered pan that can be easily removed after baking. Add the caramel topping on top of the batter carefully and sprinkle the streusel topping.
Introduce the pan into the oven and carefully place it inside. Switch on the oven and raise the desired temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake for around 45 minutes and then place a foil covering to avoid the cake to brown much. Then bake for an additional half an hour and remove the pan from the oven.
Cool the baked pan in a wire rack for another half an hour. Remove the cake carefully from the pan starting with the sides. Drizzle a few spoons of caramel sauce and cashew nuts to dress the cake.
