I  confess that I feel honored to write the preface for a book that I am absolutely certain will contribute significantly to male seduction worldwide. I met John Lougan in October 2011. At that time, Lougan was known for being one of the few Brazilians who had successfully mastered the Mystery Method - the most renowned seduction method in the world. While thousands of Pickup students struggled to apply Mystery's strategy, Lougan seemed to effortlessly incorporate it into his persona.

However, he wanted to go far beyond that... In our first phone conversation, which preceded our physical meeting, I was amazed by Lougan's simplicity. I felt that a beautiful friendship could arise from there - and I was not mistaken: we became great friends. Lougan's commitment to his evolution in the game was evident. Whether in daytime or nighttime settings, Lougan never hesitated to approach. The story that follows is real, it actually happened. To guide you into the seduction universe, I will first share a bit about myself and explain what Pickup is and how it originated, which is the main objective of this book.

Despite the stage name, I am Brazilian. I am the son of a military man and parents who are separated. I was raised under the care of my father since the age of two. The separation of my parents had an impact on my life, but it was only in adulthood that I truly realized the void I felt from not having a united family. We are four siblings, divided between the two resulting families from this separation. Like many others who have gone through this, I learned to adapt and overcome the situation.

Throughout my entire adolescence and until I was 24 years old, I lived immersed in religion, following in my father's footsteps and finding my compass in "faith." During this period, I devoted over a decade to an evangelical church, whose doctrine preached the isolation of the faithful from the "pagan" world. This mindset kept me away from studies and secular society, resulting in stagnation in various areas of my life during those years.

It took several years for me to finally open my eyes and free myself from the religious mindset that held me captive. By making the decision to break away from dogmas, I embarked on a journey in search of a more balanced life integrated into society. Today, I consider myself agnostic, finding my peace in this way and in the pursuit of personal answers.

Despite all the forces pulling me in the opposite direction, I decided to forge my own path. I resumed my studies, attended a college preparatory course, graduated from a public university, and am currently a civil servant, writer, and enjoying financial independence.

This transformational journey was challenging, requiring courage to confront old beliefs and break away from a familiar, traditional, and "comfortable" world. However, the fruits reaped along the way justified every step taken. Today, I feel free to explore new ideas, expand my intellectual horizons, and live a more fulfilling and authentic life.

No matter what baggage we carry from the past, it is always possible to reinvent ourselves and seek an existence that truly fulfills us. Freedom of thought and the pursuit of our own path are essential elements in this journey of self-discovery.

Although I don't consider myself extremely attractive, I don't think I'm ugly either. Some women claim that I'm attractive, but believe me, that is not the most important aspect, as you will soon discover. Beauty is common, and soon you will realize that having stunning looks is not necessary to seduce women.

My appearance is ordinary, nothing exceptional about it. I am tall, have fair skin, black hair with receding hairline, and a long, sharp nose - features that denote my Italian heritage. Some friends vehemently claim that I resemble the character "Wolverine" from the comics and films of the renowned Marvel Comics' "X-Men" series. That is the origin behind the pseudonym, where I added just one "u" to the name "Logan" and included the first name "John". I did this with the aim of keeping my personal life separate from the game.

My journey into seduction began by chance. It was the first decade of this century, and it all started after the tragic end of a three-and-a-half-year relationship. I decided to do some research on the internet with a simple question: "how to attract beautiful women." This research was not motivated by an exaggerated difficulty in dealing with women - since my youth, I did not face significant challenges in this area - but rather by the desire to elevate my level, that is, to seduce stunning women! Perhaps out of vanity or perhaps because I genuinely felt attracted to certain qualities and types of women - even today, I appreciate shaved vaginas, as long as they are on a beautiful body and face.

The first result that "Google" returned to me was the website of a man who surprisingly became my colleague and seduction instructor. After delving into his articles on the subject at that time, I continued my research in the vastness of the internet and ended up discovering a forum dedicated to the art of seduction. Do not be alarmed, discerning reader, for these secret strongholds are scattered abundantly across the world! This forum had been in existence for some time, but it was an unknown treasure to most men because, although publicly accessible, its name did not reverberate in common ears. I decided to register and, driven by insatiable curiosity, I plunged headfirst into this conquest underworld.

By a twist of fate, I ended up meeting a guy through this forum who is now one of my most loyal friends. He was known at the time as "Jack Player," and his game was nothing short of impressive - endowed with exceptional social skills, he easily seduced thanks to his firm and captivating voice, combined with an enviable sense of humor.

It seemed as if we had known each other for years, and our goals, both within this seduction community and in life in general, were strangely aligned. With luck on our side, as we lived close to each other, we started meeting regularly to practice the game, test and validate everything we learned. We ventured into nightclubs, malls, bars, and plazas - both in the daylight and in the shadows of the night. This dynamic lasted for many years, and together we absorbed precious knowledge about the practice of the game. Our friendship remains strong to this day!

I continued my journey, and incredibly, through this secret community, I was introduced to a path I could never have imagined, and I am certain that after reading this book, you, dear reader, will also share that overwhelming sensation.

I studied various methods, such as Ross Jeffries' Speed Seduction, Alan Roger Currie's Mode One, and Erik Von Markovik's Mystery Method. Additionally, I delved into the works of authors like David Deangelo and his "77 Laws of success with women and dating." I delved into Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), studying the contributions of Richard Bandler and John Grinder.

The seductions that followed were the natural result of the entire process I went through and assimilated. I threw myself into the field, seducing women in a variety of locations, from nightclubs, malls, and bars to buses, streets, plazas, outdoor concerts, and carnivals. It was essential to test if everything I learned truly worked, and over time, I realized that it was genuinely possible, an extraordinary experience.

I kissed and slept with stunning women, those I never even dreamed of kissing before, and had encounters with both single and committed women. I explored every aspect that seduction had to offer.

My life turned into a whirlwind of passionate encounters with three or four different women per week, almost one per day. On numerous occasions, I had sex with women on the same night I met them. Since delving into the Pickup universe, I had never experienced such an intense sex life.

As time went by, I began sharing my adventures with the community, gradually gaining notoriety. As my stories spread, my credibility grew, and men from all over started sending me emails and calling, wishing to be my partners in the game. Years passed, and my popularity increased to the point where I started being mentioned in other books on the subject. And, as expected, people began recognizing me in different parts of Brazil. This brings me immense pleasure because I know that through my contributions, many men are finding greater happiness and personal fulfillment with women.

After a long journey in the community, where I gained recognition and proved my skills in the game, I started offering seduction consulting. Men from various cities in Brazil sought me out for help with women, personal and social development through my work. And that's how it has been until this day. After a few years, I decided to stop sharing field reports in the community and ceased publishing numerous accounts of seduction with stunning women, including experiences of threesomes and adventures in the world of swinging.

As a result of this trajectory, I decided to write this book. Brace yourself because if you allow it, your life concerning women will be transformed, and you will achieve unimaginable results. I wrote this book with the purpose of inspiring men to change their beliefs and conquer any woman they desire. I will show you that it is possible.

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Dear reader, I will reveal to you how it all began. In fact, it all started in the United States a few years ago. In the 1970s, a man named Eric Weber, tormented by his lack of success in the realm of women, decided to dedicate himself to the in-depth study of women's behavior and the improvement of his social skills. After years of immersing himself in this knowledge and intensive practice, achieving overwhelming success with the ladies, he released a book that would be considered a historical milestone in the art of seduction: "How to Pickup Girls" - a true game-changer, responsible for inaugurating a new movement of study and understanding of female sexuality.

Eric Weber's work addressed the difficulties that men faced when trying to seduce women in American cities at that time. Weber's book was a resounding success, selling over three million copies and assisting numerous men with difficulties in their relationships to see their social lives from a new perspective. Moreover, it served as inspiration for future seduction movements that I will discuss later in this book.

The impact of the work was so great that it was even adapted into a TV movie produced by the American network ABC, watched by over 25 million people at the time.

In the 1990s, other initiatives focused on the study of seduction began to emerge, with Ross Jeffries being the pioneer in creating the first seduction school in the United States. He authored the book "Speed Seduction" - a method of rapid seduction that used NLP patterns and hypnosis to captivate women.

However, it was through a later publication that everything changed once and for all. In 2005, an American journalist and writer named Neil Strauss released a book that would transform the history of relationships between men and women worldwide: "The Game: Penetrating the Secret Society of Pickup Artists." This incredible work is a detailed autobiography that tells the impressive life story of Neil Strauss - a shy, "ugly," and low self-esteem man who was a social failure despite his professional success as a journalist and writer.

After a complete personal transformation, he became one of the greatest seducers on the planet! The book was translated into various languages around the world and has influenced and changed the lives of thousands of men. In other words, Strauss' work was the starting point for the dissemination and popularization of the seduction community worldwide.

It was through this book that the world had the opportunity to meet "Mystery," the pseudonym of Erik Von Markovik. He became the author of "The Mystery Method: how to get beautiful women into bed," one of the most detailed books on the art of seduction. Today, he is widely recognized as one of the founders of the "Pickup" movement (also known simply as PUA, an abbreviation of Pickup Artist).

The term PUA originated in the United States and is used in the seduction community to describe men who possess or strive to have skills in meeting, attracting, and seducing women. PUA can mean "seduction artist," "venusian artist," or simply "player."

Analogous to martial arts, where fighting techniques and methods are taught, "venusian arts" involve the art of seducing women of rare beauty and mastering social dynamics among groups of people with predefined objectives. Venus, in mythology, is the Roman goddess of love, beauty, and eroticism, equated with the goddess Aphrodite in Greek mythology. Hence the name "venusian arts."

The terms "pick up, capture, and get" represent the literal translation of the English term "Pick up." In another sense, "Pickup Artist" can be translated as "seduction artist." In summary, venusian arts and Pickup are synonyms that express the practice of the game or the art of seducing women.

Following this line of thought, many consider Pickup as a kind of "science of seduction," and Mystery is regarded as one of its main pioneers. Erik Von Markovik, a native of Canada, started his journey as a magician and former computer nerd. He was widely acclaimed as the greatest seducer in the world for a long period, although there are more recent rankings created by the international seduction community that contradict this claim, placing Julien Blanc from the company "Real Social Dynamics" as number one.

Personally, I consider Mystery one of the best PUAs (Pickup Artists) in the world, despite his almost exclusively indirect method. A significant part of my evolution as a human being and a Pickup Artist is owed to him and his contributions.

Mystery was one of the most systematic men in the study of the art of seduction. He developed the M3 model, which later evolved into the Mystery Method, a step-by-step approach to seducing exceptionally beautiful women. He divided the seduction process into three stages and nine sub-phases. Additionally, he was an innovator in creating terminology, and many of the game terms used today, such as DVS, RLMP, and Set, originated from him.

The term Pickup Artist, PUA, or seduction artist, in the modern sense, had not yet emerged until the early 1990s with the advent of the internet. With the popularization of the web, numerous men interested in the subject could gather and share their knowledge and techniques about the art of seduction, something unprecedented at the time.
