Something feels wrong. Jonas first notices it in the little things – a sound that fades away too late, a face that seems strange to him, although it should be familiar. Thoughts that don't seem to be his own. He tries to ignore it. But the cracks are getting bigger. The world around him begins to shift. The words in a book change when he looks away. Clocks tick in both directions. People remember things that never happened. And then the message appears. No sender. No explanation. Just a single, disturbing question: 'Are you ready to wake up?' A psychological thriller that challenges your perception. Intense, unstoppable, with a final twist that will make you doubt everything – especially yourself. And remember: it could be you who is being read...

Conclusion - The psychology behind the illusion
It was one of those nights when the city was quieter than usual. No passing cars. No distant honking or drunken laughter. Just the quiet whirring of the fridge and the ticking of the wall clock in Jonas' flat.
Jonas Winter sat on the edge of his bed, his heart beating too fast. A video recording from the surveillance camera in his office was playing on his mobile phone. The screen showed the entrance foyer - the cool, sterile lobby with its grey floor tiles and glass revolving doors.
The automatic door slid open.
A man entered the building.
Jonas leant closer to the screen. His stomach tightened.
The man was wearing a dark coat, his face only half captured by the camera. But Jonas recognised him immediately.
It was himself.
His own figure, the same posture, the same movements. He saw his doppelganger walking calmly through the lobby, looking around as if he knew exactly where he was going.
That couldn't be.
Jonas scrolled through his mobile phone, looking for evidence. He hadn't left the house tonight. His fitness tracker showed no steps, his car keys were still in the bowl by the entrance. He had opened a beer after work, watched two episodes of a series and then gone to bed.
And yet here he was, at exactly 02:13, walking through his office.
He pressed pause. The screen froze. His own face, motionless, with an expression he didn't recognise.
A chill crept into his chest. His mobile phone vibrated.
One message. No number, just a grey circle with an empty profile picture.
"Stop following me."
Jonas' heart almost stopped. His eyes flew to the display above the message.
The message came from his own number.
The next few days felt like being in a fog.
Jonas tried to forget the video recording, to dismiss it as a bug in the system. Maybe a glitch in the software. Maybe an old recording that was accidentally replayed.
But the evidence piled up.
