Eleanor was a very neat and conservative 39-year-old lady. Everything she own was kept in immaculate condition. She lived in the small town of EL Reno just 10-miles outside of Oklahoma City. She owned and ran a very successful pottery business out on the main highway and resided in a cute little patio home just behind her place of business. Tourist would stop in going to and from Oklahoma City to buy her beautiful hand crafted pottery of all sorts of designs.

One day she opened her store for business and while entering the back storage to get a bag of pottery mix to her surprise hundreds of crickets invaded her storeroom.

“Eeeekkk!!! Oh my God, Crickets,” she panicked quickly closing the door.

She was so afraid because she’d never seen such an infestation of crickets in one place before. Seemingly, they found a new home in her storage supply as she wondered what drew them in but one thing for sure, she had to get rid of them and fast. Impetuously, she called an exterminator, who was kind enough to work her in on his busy daily schedule and in no time all the crickets were killed then disposed of. The exterminator thought that it was rather strange for crickets to migrate in such a peculiar manner but whatever it was that lured them into that storage room, they were quite attracted to it.

“Well Miss Eleanor, I think we’ve got all of them and I have a feeling they won't be back because this is a very powerful pesticide, it kills them and keep them away for a good six months,” the exterminator confirmed bringing out a large bag of pottery mix for her.

“Oh, thank you and I'm sure it will Jack,” she concluded handing him a check while walking him towards the door.

Of course, the eerie feeling consumed her all that day just thinking how all those crickets took over her supply storage, but she shuck the daunting from her mind and tried to focus on completing the pottery orders for her customers only to witness a nosy little beetle had wandered into unfamiliar territory presumably trying to escape the spray fumes and got stuck the putty goo, seemingly waiting to be rescued.

That evening in the comforts of her home, she relaxed in her easy chair with a cup of tea, as she began to read the newspaper. After briefly scanning over the front page, she opened the paper to read the next section when shockingly, a centipede fell from the newpaper into her lap. She freaked quickly jumping out of her chair screaming in panic when she noticed the little multi-legged wanderer was just as scared as she was as it quickly dashed for safety.  “Oh my goodness, it must have been rolled up inside the damn newspaper! Eek!” She quivered watching as it crawled into a corner in the room but had nowhere to go but to die quickly smashing it with a wood poker from the fireplace then getting the broom to sweep it into the dustpan and quickly disposed of it.
