Two short compositions: message, re-arranging a dialogue in a logical sequence, and completing a text with the help of clues provided. (30-35 words)

C) Grammar Section: 30 marks

Verbs (All tenses done in class 9, conditionnel du présent, futur antérieur, plus-que-parfait & subjonctif), pronom relatif simple et composé, pronom personnel (COD, COI, y, en, tonique, etc.), trouvez la question, discours direct et indirect, négatifs, possessifs - adjectifs et pronoms, démonstratifs - adjectifs et pronoms (simples et composés)

(Note: Personal pronouns will continue to be tested as the topic is done in Class 9)

Le 5e « Salon des Grands » s’est déroulé le 1er et le 2 octobre 2013 à Paris. Quand on est grand, la vie est souvent plus compliquée ... À l’école aussi, la grande taille n’est pas toujours bien vécue. Dur d’être le plus grand de sa classe ! Une femme est grande à partir de 1,80 m ; un homme à partir de 1,90 m. Ils ont du mal à s’habiller, à se chausser, à s’asseoir au cinéma ou dans un avion ... Un salon leur est consacré pendant les deux jours à Paris, pour leur donner des infos pour vivre mieux avec leur grande taille. Un docteur nous donne des conseils. Le docteur Antoine Pelissolo, psychiatre dans un hôpital parisien, aide les jeunes à mieux accepter leur taille : Il faut se tourner vers les autres, sans se cacher, en faisant du sport par exemple. Au basket, la grande taille est un atout (“atout” : asset). Il faut aussi travailler sur la confiance en soi. Remplacez les pensées négatives par des pensées positives. Ce n’est pas le physique, c’est la personnalité, les qualités humaines. La taille, c’est n’est pas un handicap !
