What makes this Chaos Magick book special? The book is original (not "more of the same"). The author, as a mage, gave his personal perspective to the whole work. Does not include the dusty ancient rituals of the Golden Dawn, Jewish Goetia, or the egregore spells from H.P Lovecraft's "Necronomicon." This work contains new and unique rituals, based on Sumerian and Egyptian magick, adapted to Chaos Magick, Egyptian ogdoad, Isfet, Seth and other chaos deities. It contains correlations between rituals, symbolism, gnosis and quantum physics. The book contains a chapter on Memetic Magick as well as teachings for personal empowerment. It is a complete book with a lot of practical information, written by a real human and a practitioner of magick. It does not contain dozens of pages of "chitty talk" theoretical information, nor was it written by I.A. Egyptian "hekau" mantras for personal empowerment. The connection between magick and other areas, such as psychology, shamanism, shadow work with Egyptian archetypes, scrying with the chaosphere, provides a broad view of chaos magick.

This book does not promote or present rituals from Aleister Crowley, Peter Carroll or orders such as the I.O.T, Golden Dawn or similar, unlike other works on Chaoism. It does not include rituals inspired by Jewish Kabbalah, as some initiatory orders do. The work reflects the author's personal vision, with a more kemetic or babylonian perspective, going against known paradigms. I have also included a comprehensive chapter on Memetic Magic, which cannot be found in any other book. Therefore, I have titled this work "Chaos Magick Deciphered - Knowledge is Power". This grimoire does not include magick involving fictional characters or egregors from H.P Lovecraft's "Necronomicon", however, it contains complete rituals of Egyptian magic and Egyptian ogdoade, adapted to Chaoist magick. Tools that empower the reader as an initiate.
Some examples and connections to quantum physics are included, providing an innovative approach to the topic. Nevertheless, the methods of sexual magic or psychonautics, which involve the utilization of recreational drugs to explore the mind, are not discussed as they are deemed illegal in various nations and book sales platforms. Therefore, avoiding possible censorship of the book, which would significantly reduce the number of sales and reach among readers.
My readers are aware of my unique approach to occult themes in my books, despite the extensive literature on Chaos Magick. I am an experienced practitioner and author in this area, including chaos magick, cybershamanism and related aspects, and I bring years of experience and in-depth knowledge to the topic. My previous book "Obscure Dimensions and Magickal Systems" has already touched on chaoist magick, as the title suggests.
From my perspective, I then decided to write a practical book on chaos magick with an assertive vision and with the base correlations of some concepts in quantum physics.
No two chaos magick books are identical, just as each mage possesses their own distinct viewpoint. Many chaoist rituals invoke chthonic gods or Lovecraftian entities, such as Azathoth and Cthulhu, even though they are egregores and not real entities. In my books, I do not adopt this type of conduct because I have the personal freedom to choose not to. I prefer to use names from Sumerian or Egyptian chaos deities, with which I have greater resonance and better results.
It is ironic that some Chaoist mages, who claim to follow free thought, end up blindly repeating Crowley's teachings, or Peter Carroll, performing Golden Dawn rituals and following the same worn-out steps of Kabbalah. They are stuck in old dogmas. Is this what being free is? Is this innovating and charting a new path? Chaoist creativity sometimes becomes a delicious parody of itself.
Like countless grains of sand in the immensity of the dunes, each tome of chaotic arcana is unique, reflecting the unique vision of the sorcerer who created it. While many invoke the names of the glassy-eyed ancients, awakened from their slumbers of immemorial ages, others prefer more subtle paths. The Egyptian and Sumerian paths, where deities with changing faces dance in the currents of primordial chaos, are this bard's stronghold. For each must find their own resonance in the mists of mystery, shaping the veins of power according to their most intimate desires. Such is the path of the chaos mage, eternally forging new paths in the labyrinths of the unfathomable.
"Chaos" does not merely refer to disorder, but to the concept of infinite potential and the ever-changing flow of reality. The meaning varies depending on the setting and perspective. In physics, it can be observed in nonlinear systems, where small changes lead to big differences in the final results. In philosophy, chaos is considered a creative force, capable of generating new forms and possibilities.
Chaos is the primordial energy, holding great power over the borders of reality. It is where ideas are longing to take shape and indefinite matter wants to come to life. A living womb replete with egregors, gods, and structures. Chaos transcends simple disorder, serving as a source of creation, mutability, and infinite potential in constant flux.
Chaos is where order and structure can emerge. This idea is central to the motto "Ordo Ab Chao" (Order from Chaos) used by groups like the Illuminati and Freemasons. They claim that, in the beginning, there was only primordial chaos, from which the Great Geometer or Demiurge emerged - the creator of the universe out of chaos.
This notion is grounded in the concepts of Chaoism, which postulate that the primordial universe was composed of pure chaos, before any order was established. Gnosis also shares this view, holding that the Demiurge, or Great Architect as referred to by Freemasons, created the ordered universe from the initial chaotic forces.
The Universe is always one step ahead of logic.
Moreover, in the universe, chaos is responsible for generating life and generating order. Processes of assimilation and dissolution are constantly in operation. Assimilation refers to the way matter and energy organize themselves to form structures such as stars, planets, and galaxies. Dissolution, on the other hand, occurs when these structures break down or are destroyed, releasing matter and energy that can form new ones. The cyclical processes of construction and destruction demonstrate how order can emerge from chaos. The destruction of one star leads to the creation of new ones, showing how order can emerge from chaos.
Everything has an opposite; the particle has an antiparticle, the universe has an antiuniverse. I can consider chaos as the anti-universe. This balances the symmetries between both universes. In the anti-universe, all matter is antimatter and time flows in reverse. From this perspective, chaos is not just disorder, but the negative aspect that is necessary for the existence of the positive universe. Chaotic forces are the original forces that enable and balance the ordered manifestation of creation, expressing the fundamental duality between opposites.
In cosmology, the principle of symmetry indicates that any physical process remains the same, even if time goes backwards, space is inverted, or particles are replaced by antiparticles. It is perhaps we, without being fully aware, who inhabit the so-called "anti-universe". Chaos would be the ultimate and authentic state of cosmic existence, of which our reality would be merely an asymmetrical and temporary reflection.
Chaos magick is a current occult practice that values individual belief and experimentation to the detriment of traditional dogmas.
Rooted in the concept that belief itself is a powerful tool for shaping reality. Chaos Magick encourages practitioners to adopt and discard beliefs as necessary, drawing on a wide variety of magical traditions, psychology, science, and pop culture. It seems like an unusual and trully disruptive concept, but if we look closely, all magick systems (even those hundreds of years old) have always emphasized that the main element is the mage's intention. The mage’s focus and concentration on a ritual (vectorized intention). Chaos magick is, in essence, about exploring the chaos inherent in the universe and harnessing it to effect change in one's reality. This is a practice that values results over tradition, innovation over convention, and personal experience over external authority.
We are all chaos mages, dear reader. If you use several magickal systems and believe that they all work, you are a chaos mage. Egyptian magick, hoodoo, voodoo, candomblé, kimbanda, Sumerian or gypsy magick - all of these systems work, as they are practices that deal with the invocation of cosmic and supernatural energies, channeled by the mage's own magnetism.
One of the fundamental principles is: "If it works, use it." Another motto is "Nothing is true, everything is permitted". This implies that there are no absolute truths, and that everything is possible and can be true.
There are no dogmatic attachments, only practical validation.
Every belief or reality is capable of being questioned, rethought or transcended.
Although it is not always necessary to reach an answer, the search also illuminates. The shaman, witch, or seeker of the new aeon must choose the point where the mind touches the rest of the universe, the collective unconscious. This is where the imagination is stretched to its limits. When something becomes possible, it is courted or convinced with enough intensity.
There is no objective truth outside personal perception. However, I can tell you that there are several deep levels of reality or several layers of reality, with the absolute (invisible) reality being that which exists independently of our perception. In a vacuum or chaos, there are all the probabilities.
Co-creation is about intensifying probabilities.
I don't agree with all the teachings of chaos magick, which sometimes uses irony, confusion, and discordianism, but I do agree with 85% of the concepts.
Chaos magick uses both traditional techniques based on existing Eastern and Western mystical systems and new techniques developed by the mage himself. I agree with two fundamental points of chaos magick: the mage's intention or belief is essential, and he can adapt and create personal methods.
Chaos magick is similar to the principles of the Law of Attraction (co-creation), focusing on the mage's intention to create his reality.
The sorcerer, through magick, can externally influence his life. Furthermore, he becomes aware of his own inner divinity and lives in harmony with the Supreme Will, becoming a deity in his own personal universe.
The term "Chaos Magick" was first mentioned in "Liber Null & Psychonaut", written by Peter J. Carroll in 1978. Carrol developed several concepts of magick that were radically different from those that were considered "magical mysteries" in the time of Aleister Crowley . However, before chaos magick arose, the philosophy of chaosism (chaos magick descends from chaosism). Chaoism is a paradigm or worldview that defends the existence of a shapeless plane that contains everything latently, called Chaos. This plane would be the "real" and intangible universe, from which one or more physical universes arise, composed of common matter and energy.
TOPY (Temple of Psychic Youth) was an international occult organization established in 1981, which played a significant role in popularizing chaos magick.
We can't say with absolute certainty that chaos magick had a founder. After the deaths of Austin Osman Spare and Aleister Crowley, the underground occult movement began to grow in the United Kingdom. Influences such as Robert Wilson's Discordianism, Shamanism and the use of psychedelics to explore the mind (psychonautics) contributed to the search for new magical states of consciousness.
In this system, techniques such as the creation of astral servers and the creation and activation of sigils are used. Austin Osman Spare, who developed the sigilization method, was initially involved with the Order of the Golden Dawn, as well as other orders such as the OTO (Ordo Templi Orientis) and the IOT (Illuminates of Thanateros). The books "Liber Null & Psychonaut" by Peter J. Carroll and "The Book of Results" by Ray Sherwin played a significant role in shaping Chaos Magick as a distinct method.
As the working basis of chaoist rites consists of the total deconstruction of structures towards chaos (hence the name chaoism). "Ego shattering" is a key technique in the personal training of chaos magick practitioners. This technique involves the denial and replacement of personal preferences and beliefs as a form of personal banishment. By challenging and contradicting everything, the ego holds everything, and causes internal deconstruction. The process is essential for freeing the mind from the limitations imposed by fixed identities and for opening the way to true flexibility and creative potential from chaos.
