Dear Readers,

This book, which includes my personal notes and summaries for the purpose of preparing for the SAFe SA Agilist 6.0 certification, is presented to you with a great deal of pleasure and, at the same time, a certain degree of humility on my part. It is the fruition of a lifelong interest on my part in acquiring and imparting information to others.

When I was still in school, I came to the realization that thorough summaries and notes could be extremely helpful in assisting me in preparing for examinations. During that time, I made my notes and summaries available to my classmates, who were grateful for the assistance they provided in supporting their own preparations as well as supplementing and aligning their notes. This culture of collaborative learning motivated me to broaden the audience for whom I shared my notes and expand upon their content.

It is essential to stress that this book is the result of an individual's initiative and is in no way authorized or endorsed by SAFe, the company that developed the Scaled Agile Framework®. The content has been compiled by me to the best of my knowledge, based on my own experience and in-depth study of the SAFe SA Agilist 6.0 certification content. Having said that, I am unable to guarantee that the information is both accurate and complete.

Please be aware that the official SAFe training as well as the official SAFe materials cannot be replaced by reading this book. Instead, it is meant to be used as a supplementary resource that can assist you in gaining a more in-depth comprehension of the SAFe principles, practices, and roles. Business agility with SAFe

Throughout the course of history, society has undergone consistent change. This has had an effect on the ways in which people live together, the structures they create, and the ways in which they move around, and over the course of the last 250 years, it has increasingly affected the ways in which technology is used to support the lives of people and to produce goods and services.

At the turn of the 18th century, the industrial revolution was already well on its way to becoming a dominant force. Previously, the economy had been largely characterized by small structures in which small businesses, often craft businesses, produced goods for the daily needs of their neighbors and people living in the immediate vicinity. However, as industrialization increased and necessary investments were made in infrastructure, it became necessary to broaden the customer base. At the same time, the capital that was invested meant that all of the machines and equipment needed to be used to their full potential. Machine downtime meant a reduction in production, which in turn meant a loss of financial revenue. As a consequence of this, it was essential to guarantee that the procedures were transparent to all parties involved and that they were comprehensible to everyone. There was a distinct division of labor between the supervisors who planned and controlled production and the employees who carried out their instructions in the factory. This was necessary due to the fact that factory workers who operated the machines did not typically have advanced training. This mode of manufacturing was improved so that it could more effectively convert mass-produced goods.
